Claims
- 1. An apparatus comprising:a ball-holding device adapted to spin a spherical object about a constantly changing axis; a polisher including a holder for holding polishing tape against a spherical object supported on the ball-holding device, the polisher further including a tape dispensing mechanism adapted to motivate tape to position a new section of tape in the holder; and a fluid dispenser for placing fluid on the spherical object while the spherical object is being spun.
- 2. An apparatus comprising:a ball-holding device adapted to spin a spherical object about a constantly changing axis; a polisher including a holder for holding polishing tape against a spherical object supported on the ball-holding device; a fluid dispenser for placing fluid on the spherical object while the spherical object is being spun; and a dispenser mechanism adapted to periodically motivate tape.
- 3. An apparatus comprising:a bail-holding device adapted to spin a spherical object about a constantly changing axis; a polisher including a holder for holding polishing tape against a spherical object supported on the ball-holding device, the polisher further including a tape support having an arcuate shape, and a dispenser mechanism adapted to periodically motivate tape to position a new section of tape against the tape support; and a fluid dispenser for placing fluid on the spherical object while the spherical object is being spun.
- 4. An apparatus comprising:a ball-holding device adapted to spin a spherical object about a constantly changing axis; a polisher including a holder for holding polishing tape against a spherical object supported on the ball-holding device, the polisher further including an adjustment lock adapted to allow movement of the tape holder toward and away from a spherical object when in an unlocked position; and a fluid dispenser for placing fluid on the spherical object while the spherical object is being spun.
- 5. The apparatus defined in claim 1 and further including a collection tank for collecting the fluid spilling from the spherical object.
- 6. The apparatus defined in claim wherein the holder has an arcuate shape.
- 7. The apparatus defined in claim 1 wherein the fluid dispenser is a dripping mechanism adapted to drip fluid onto a spherical object.
- 8. The apparatus defined in claim 2 and further including a collection tank for collecting the fluid spilling from the spherical object.
- 9. The apparatus defined in claim 2 wherein the holder has an arcuate shape.
- 10. The apparatus defined in claim 2 wherein the fluid dispenser is a dripping mechanism adapted to drip fluid onto a spherical object.
- 11. The apparatus defined in claim 3 and further including a collection tank for collecting the fluid spilling from the spherical object.
- 12. The apparatus defined in claim 3 wherein the fluid dispenser is a dripping mechanism adapted to drip fluid onto a spherical object.
- 13. The apparatus defined in claim 4 and further including a collection tank for collecting the fluid spilling from the spherical object.
- 14. The apparatus defined in claim 4 wherein the holder has an arcuate shape.
- 15. The apparatus defined in claim 4 wherein the fluid dispenser is a dripping mechanism adapted to drip fluid onto a spherical object.
