Abstract
A ball with an inflation device includes a ball body and an inflation unit disposed in the ball body. The ball body has a reinforcement cavity on an inner wall thereof to accommodate the inflation unit and communicate with the inflation unit for air inflation. The inflation unit has an inflation body coupled to the reinforcement cavity of the ball body. An air chamber is formed between the ball body and the inflation body. The inflation body has an air inlet, an inflation inlet and leakage-proof members respectively coupled to the air inlet and the inflation inlet. The inflation inlet communicates with the inside of the ball body. When in use, the user presses down the air inlet of the press portion with his/her finger, the air in the air chamber will pass the leakage-proof member into the ball body. When the user releases his/her finger, the leakage-proof member is used to stop the air in the inner space of the ball body from leakage. Outer air enters the air chamber through the air inlet. The operation is repeated to inflate the ball body, without using other tools
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a ball with an inflation device, and more particularly, to a ball having an inflation unit disposed in a ball body for air inflation without using other tools.

2. Description of the Prior Art

Ball games, such as basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, handball, dodge ball, inflatable toy ball, and the like, are beneficial for health, and the players can learn team cooperation. Most balls are in a sphere shape. The size, quality and material of each kind of ball conform to the standard of each ball.

Basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, handball, dodge ball, inflatable toy ball and the like belong to inflatable balls. The air pressure in the ball will influence the ball game, which plays an important role.

In general, people deem a ball game as a leisure activity. Sometimes, the user wants to play a ball game and finds the air pressure in the ball is not enough. He/she have to find out an air pump and a ball needle for air inflation. If there is no inflation tool, it is very inconvenient to inflate the ball. Other inflatable toy balls also need inflation before use. Some users blow air into the toy ball by his/her mouth, which causes a hygiene problem. Accordingly, the inventor of the present invention has devoted himself based on his many years of practical experiences to solve this problem.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is to provide a ball with an inflation device, without using other tools for air inflation. The present invention provides a simple operation and can be inflated at any time.

Accordingly, there is provided a ball with an inflation device, comprising a ball body and an inflation unit disposed in the ball body. The ball body has an inner space for air inflation and a reinforcement cavity on an inner wall thereof. The inflation unit is disposed in the reinforcement cavity. The inflation inlet of the inflation body is provided with a base. The base has an air passage communicating with the inner space of the ball body and the inside of the inflation body. Another leakage-proof member and an elastic member are provided in the air passage to prevent air form leakage.

The inflation unit is disposed in the ball body. It is not required to use other tools for air inflation, just pressing the press portion repeatedly or blowing air into a toy ball. The present invention provides a simple operation and can be inflated at any time.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Embodiments of the present invention will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawings.

As shown in FIG. 1, a ball with an inflation device according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a ball body 1 and an inflation unit 2.

The ball body 1 can be any kind of ball, such as basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, handball, dodge ball, inflatable toy ball, and the like. The ball body 1 has an inner space 11 for air inflation, a reinforcement cavity 21 on an inner wall thereof, and an inflation inlet 212 at the bottom of the reinforcement cavity 21.

The inflation unit 2 has an inflation body coupled to the reinforcement cavity 21 of the ball body 1. An air chamber 211 is formed between the inflation unit 2 and a press portion 41. The press portion 41 has an air inlet 121 and a back pressure valve 12. The bottom of the reinforcement cavity 21 has the inflation inlet 212 communicating with the inner space 11 and is connected with a base 22. The base 22 has an air passage 221 communicating with the inflation inlet 212. A leakage-proof member 23 and an elastic member 24 are provided in the air passage 221. The inflation body is an undulating cylinder.

The present invention also has a traditional inflation nozzle 3 for the user's selection.

FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 show the operation when the ball body 1 doesn't have enough air pressure. When the user presses down the air inlet 121 of the press portion 41 with his/her finger, the air in the air chamber 211 will be compressed and flow to the inflation inlet 212 and the air passage 221 to push away the leakage-proof member 23 and into the inner space 11 of the ball body 1, as shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3.

After that, the user releases his/her finger and the inflation device restores its original shape for next press. Outer air enters the air chamber 211 through the air inlet 121. The leakage-proof member 23 is biased by the elastic member 24 to stop the air in the inner space 11 of the ball body 1 from leakage.

The inflation unit 2 is disposed in the ball body. It is not required to use other tools for air inflation, just pressing the press portion repeatedly. The present invention provides a simple operation and can be inflated at any time.

The shape and configuration of the present invention can be changed. FIGS. 4, 4A, 5, 5A, 6, 6A and 6B show other embodiments of the present invention.

The inflation unit 5 of FIGS. 4 and 4A has an inflation body 51 in a hemisphere shape disposed in the reinforcement cavity 21 of the ball body 1. The inflation unit 5 can be replaced with ease.

The inflation unit 6 of FIGS. 5 and 5A has an inflation body 61 in a sphere shape disposed in the reinforcement cavity 21 of the ball body 1. The inflation unit 6 can be replaced with ease.

The inflation unit 6 of FIG. 6 has an inflation body in a dish-like shape disposed on the inner wall of the ball body 1. The reinforcement cavity 21 forms the inflation unit to support the inner pressure of the ball body 11. The top layer of the reinforcement cavity 21 is the press portion 41 of the inflation unit. In this embodiment, the inflation unit is fixed and cannot be detached. FIG. 6A and FIG. 6B are cross-sectional views in an inflating state.

FIG. 7 shows a detachable inflation base 7. The inflation base 7 has engaging rings 82 at two ends thereof to secure the reinforcement cavity 21 and the inflation unit on the inner wall of the ball body. In this embodiment, the inflation unit 81 and the inflation base 7 can be replaced with ease.

FIG. 8 shows a rotatable inflation base 8. The inflation base 8 has threads 92 on an outer wall thereof. The reinforcement cavity 21 is provided with a threaded base 98 for engagement of the threads 92 of the inflation base 8. A washer 100 is provided on the inflation base 8 to prevent air leakage. In this embodiment, the inflation unit 91 and the inflation base 8 can be replaced with ease.

Although particular embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. Accordingly, the present invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.
