FIELD OF INVENTION
The invention relates to ballistics jacket and more particularly to a method of securing a front and back armor plate onto a carrier jacket such that the front pocket is secured across the chest and midsection in an adjacent pocket called the receiving pocket.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
A bulletproof vest, also known as a ballistic vest or a bullet-resistant vest, is an item of body armor that helps absorb the impact and reduce or stop penetration to the torso from firearm, fired projectiles and fragmentation from explosions. The vest may come in a soft form, as worn by many police officers, prison guards, security guards and some private citizens. Prison guards and police may wear soft vests designed to resist stabbing attacks, using metallic or para-aramid components. Soldiers, SWAT teams, marines and special operations forces wear hard armors, either in conjunction with soft armor or alone. This allows for protection against rifle firearm or fragmentation. A ballistic plate, also known as an armor plate, is a protective armored plate inserted into a carrier or bulletproof vest, that can be used stand-alone, or in conjunction with other armor. “Hard armor” usually denotes armor that uses ballistic plates. It serves to defeat higher threats, and may be considered as a form of applique armor. It is usually inserted into the front and back, with side inserts also sometimes used.
Usually, a vest contains two armor plates and trauma pads held in place by a carrier. One panel protects the front of the torso, the other protects the back. When a person desires to use the armored vest, he or she inserts the armored plate into the carrier vest pouch or pockets at the front and at the back. The known method of concealing and securing armored plates into the carrier vest jackets is by placing them inside the carrier jackets in the front side and at the back.
Prior arts show quick release/quick access conceal carry mechanisms, configurable for left and right-handed users, removable bulletproof plates, etc. However, no patent shows the configuration and design of the present invention showing an armored plate being inserted into a first pocket on a first side of a jacket, and the entire first pocket is inserted into a second pocket on the opposite side of the carrier jacket. The jacket further designed with a Hidden Draw System (HDS) that allows a user access a firearm from the holster legally, quickly and discreetly. No other patent claim has this feature that enables a user access their weapon in its holster. Several claims show breaks away pockets where the firearm is kept, unholstered in the pocket, it is a notable improvement by the present invention to provide a legal way to accesses firearms concealed withing a jacket as the method in prior arts is illegal in most jurisdictions and require the weapon to be secured in a holster. The Hidden Draw System of the present invention works in conjunction with a legal holster.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
The following summary discloses all the features and functions of the present Invention, by considering the whole specifications, claims, drawings and abstract, one can easily get a full understanding of the invention and it functions.
The present invention is a ballistic panel carrier jacket and a method of securing and concealing armor plate panels in jacket having breakaway pockets for Hidden Draw System (HDS) that allows a user access their firearm from the holster legally, quickly and discreetly for convenience and conceal ability. The jacket of the present invention is comprised of a front and back section. The back section has a back pocket-like receptacle attached thereto with an opening designed for receiving a back ballistic panel and is further secured close preferably with a fastening means, said fastening means is at least one hook and loop fastening strip, such as a VELCRO. The front section comprises of a front right and front left pockets. The front left pocket is configured having a pouch like inner layer attached thereto with an opening to receive a front ballistic panel which is further secured within preferably with a fastening means, said fastening means is preferably a zipper. The front right pocket of the jacket is configured to receive the pouch of the front left pocket, the pouch of the front left pocket further containing the front ballistic panels is then secured across the chest section of the user of the jacket and further inserted into the front right pocket of the jacket, such that the front pockets interact with one another such that a section of one is received within another. Each of the front and back pocket is configured and sized to closely match the configuration and size of its corresponding ballistic panel to ensure that the front and back ballistic panels are supported accurately without shifting, to protect the vital parts of the jacket's wearer.
The front lower right and left section of the Jacket of the present invention is further configured as a Hidden Draw System (HDS) that allows a user access their firearm from the holster legally, quickly and discreetly. The said front lower right and left section of the jacket is a partial breakaway section held together with snaps. From the outside, the pockets of the jacket of the present invention appears to be an ordinary pocket, whereas said breakaway section are false pockets that allow the user to have conceal access to their holstered firearm for a quick and discreet draw. This will give the appearance of the user having their hands in their pockets while they are securing a concealed item like a firearm or pepper spray. When the user deploys that concealed item, the snaps will break away, enabling the user to deploy their hands directly from a secreted position.
An object of the present invention is to provide a unique and non-obvious method of securing and concealing ballistic panels in jacket such that the front right and front left pockets interact with one another such that a section of one is received within another.
An additional object of the present invention is the introduction of a false pocket with breakaway section securely affixed together by snap buttons. The false break away pocket appears like regular front pockets from the outside but are configured to allow the user to have clear access to their holstered firearm. A user may not always have the luxury of time to access or remove weapons and other accessories attached to the belt or holster, a situation that commonly occurs when the user is injured or otherwise occupied. Thus, a need for a ballistics vest that permits a user to secretly, and easily reach and access their firearm when secured in the holster quickly with an impression that the hands are supposedly tucked Inside a pocket.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF FIGURES
The present invention is a ballistic panel carrier jacket and a method of securing and concealing armor plate panels in jacket with a breakaway false section for Hidden Draw System (HDS) which allow a user access their firearm from the holster legally, quickly and discreetly. In FIG. 1, the invention discloses the carrier jacket (1) and further reveals the front section which comprises of the front pocket section housing the front ballistic plates (8). The broken lines are for illustration purposes and is used to show the ballistic plates inside the front pockets. In FIG. 2a, the invention discloses the carrier jacket (1), attached to the back section is a back pocket-like receptacle (3) attached thereto with an opening (3a) designed for receiving a back ballistic panel (8) and is further secured close preferably with a fastening means (4), said fastening means is at least one hook and loop fastening strip, such as a VELCRO. The front section comprises of a front left (9b) and front right pockets (10). The front left (9b) pocket is configured having a pouch inner layer (9) with an opening (9a) to receive a front ballistic panel (8) which is further secured within preferably with a fastener, said fastener is preferably a zipper (17). The front right pocket (10) of the jacket is configured to receive the pouch (9) of the said front left pocket, the pouch (9) of the said front left pocket containing the front ballistic panel (8) is then secured across the chest section of the user of the jacket and further received into the front right pocket of the jacket (10), such that the front pockets interact with one another such that a section of one is received within another. The broken lines are for illustration purposes and is used to show the ballistic plates inside the pockets and the depression of the pockets.
In FIG. 2b, in an illustrative embodiment, the invention discloses the front elevational view of the ballistic panel carrier jacket (1) with the front section of the jacket fully opened to reveal its back pocket receptacle closed (3), its front left pocket (9b) and inner pouch (9) deployed out from the front left pocket (9b) to receive the front ballistic panel (8) and further secured within with a fastener, said fastener is preferably a zipper (17) and therein revealing the manner in which it may be adapted to receive the front ballistic panel. The front section of the carrier jacket (1) further discloses the front right pocket receptacle (10), an opening (10a) for receiving the ballistic panel housed inside the front left pouch (9b), such that the pouch is received inside the front right pocket (10) in which it may be adapted to receive and secure the front panel (8) preferably with a fastening means (11), said fastening means is at least one fastening strip, such as a strip of leather, cloth, or other flexible material.
In FIG. 3a, in an illustrative embodiment, the front left pocket pouch (9) is revealed housing the ballistic panel (8) having been deployed from the front left pocket (9b), and secured within preferably with a zipper (17). It must be fully understood that other types of garments having contemplated to be within the scope of the method of concealing ballistic panels as in the present invention, there is a huge non obvious way of concealing ballistic panel in a pouch that is fully deployed from within an original pocket receptacle as shown and described in the present invention. The broken lines are for illustration purposes and is used to show the ballistic plates inside the pockets and the depression of the pockets.
In FIG. 3b, a front side elevational view of the ballistic panel carrier jacket (1) is shown with the front section of the jacket partially opened to reveal the manner of interaction of the front pockets with one another such that the pouch (9) is received within the front right pocket (10) to secure the front panel (8) across the chest section of the jacket user.
FIG. 4, is a front elevational view of the ballistic panel carrier jacket (1) of FIGS. 2&3 and 4 with the front section of the jacket fully closed to reveal its front ballistic panel (8) secured within and the breakaway section (16). The breakaway section (16) may be securely affixed together preferably with a fastening means, said fastening means is preferably a snap fastener, snap button, press button, press fastener. The breakaway section appears like regular front pockets from the outside but are configured to allow the user to have clear access to their holstered firearm.
