The present invention relates to fighting gloves, and more particularly, the present invention relates to gloves for bare-knuckle boxing.
Bare-knuckle fighting or bare-knuckle boxing is a sport of boxing without the use of boxing gloves. Professional bare-knuckle boxing is becoming popular with more government legalizations. Wyoming in the United States, legalize the sport of bare-knuckle boxing on Mar. 20, 2018. Players in the sports of bare-knuckle boxing may wear a kind of hand wrap while boxing to protect against injuries to the softer parts of the hand and to keep fighting for long durations. Such hand wraps are usually made from clothes and provide very limited protection to the hands.
Thus, a need is appreciated for a protective article for hands in the sports of bare-knuckle fighting. A need is appreciated for a utility article for hands that can make the sports of bare-knuckle fighting safer.
The following presents a simplified summary of one or more embodiments of the present invention in order to provide a basic understanding of such embodiments. This summary is not an extensive overview of all contemplated embodiments and is intended to neither identify key or critical elements of all embodiments nor delineate the scope of any or all embodiments. Its sole purpose is to present some concepts of one or more embodiments in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later.
The principal object of the present invention is therefore directed to fighting gloves for the sports of bare-knuckle fighting.
It is another object of the present invention that the fighting gloves can protect the soft parts of the hands in fighting.

The V-shape cut can divide the palm side portion of the fighting glove into a first flap and a second flap. A tightening means can be provided to tighten the first flap and second flap. Loosening the two flaps can widen the hand opening for donning the fighting glove and tightening the two flaps can secure the fighting glove in the hand.
In one aspect, the tightening means can be a strap with a hook and loop fastener. The strap can be coupled to one of the two flaps and a free end of the strap can have a mating member of the hook and loop fastener. The other flap can be provided with another mating member of the hook and loop fastener, wherein the mating member of the strap can be fastened to the mating member in another flap for tightening the two flaps.
In one aspect, a series of eyelets can be provided along a periphery of the two flaps. A lace can run across the eyelets of the two flaps, wherein the lace can be tightened to tighten the two flaps and the loosen to loosen the two flaps.
In one case, the dorsal side of the body portion of the fighting glove can be provided with suitable padding for desired cushioning against physical impacts.

Referring to
In one exemplary embodiment, the fighting gloves 100 can include a body portion 110, a wrist portion 120, and a dividing portion 130. The body portion can have a dorsal side and a palm side,
The dorsal side of the body portion 110 can have suitable padding 140 disposed on an area of the dorsal side of the body portion 110. The padding 140 can provide cushioning against external physical impacts. On the palm side of the body portion 110 can be seen a V-shape cut 150 that extends from the hand opening in the wrist portion to the palm side of the body portion. The V-shaped cut divides the palm side into two flaps or sides. This widens the hand opening allowing the fighting glove to be easy to don and doff. A tightening mechanism can also be provided that allows tightening and loosening of the two flaps. Tightening the two flaps can secure the fighting glove in the hand and loosening the two flaps can widen the hand opening allowing the glove to easily don and doff.
