The present invention relates to a basketball system with capability of repetitive installation and, more particularly, to a basketball system that can be easily and repetitively installed on various impermeable surfaces at different sites without destruction of the surfaces.
Due to rapid population growth and limited land resources, it is not easy to find a place to install a standalone basketball backboard. For saving space, people often install a backboard on a wall. However, the way of mounting the backboard is destructive to the wall, because screws or nails are required to penetrate the wall. Thus, there is a need to develop a basketball system that allows its backboard to be easily installed on a wall or supportive surface without destruction, and allows the backboard to be repetitively installed at different sites when necessary.
The primary object of the present invention is to provide a basketball system, which at least comprises a backboard, a first rectangular plate, a second rectangular plate, and a resilient sticking sheet, whereby the backboard can be easily and repetitively installed on various impermeable surfaces at different sites without destruction of the surfaces.
The second object of the present invention is to provide a basketball system that allows the first rectangular plate to be moved down to lie on the second rectangular plate for protecting the resilient sticking sheet thereon when the system is not in use.
The third object of the present invention is to provide a basketball system, wherein the resilient sticking sheet defines a plurality of recesses at its back surface, the back surface of the resilient sticking sheet being further provided with an always sticky layer for enhancing adhesion capability, so that the first rectangular plate can be attached to a supportive surface, more securely, with the vacuum existed between the resilient sticking sheet and the supportive surface.
The fourth object of the present invention is to provide a basketball system, wherein the second rectangular plate can be fastened to the back surface of the backboard by means of hot-melt adhesive, glue, or screws.
Other objects, advantages, and novel features of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
Preferably, the first rectangular plate (1) can be provided with two lateral joint barrels (12)(12A) at its bottom edge, whereas the second rectangular plate (2) can be provided with a central joint barrel (21) at its top edge, so that the second rectangular plate (2) can be pivotally connected with the first rectangular plate (1) by using a pin (3) sequentially inserted through the right lateral joint barrel (12A), the central joint barrel (21), and the left lateral joint barrel (12). The resilient sticking sheet (5), which can be attached to a back surface of the first rectangular plate (1), defines a plurality of recesses (51) at its back surface, wherein the resilient sticking sheet (5) is always with a predetermined level of adhesion. Besides, the back surface of the resilient sticking sheet (5) can be further provided with an always sticky layer (52) for enhancing adhesion capability As such, the first rectangular plate (1) can be attached to a supportive surface, more securely, through the vacuum existed between the resilient sticking sheet (5) and the supportive surface.
