Claims
- 1. A batch flow meter for use in a system for dispensing batches of fluid, comprising:a flowmeter for measuring a flow rate of the fluid and generating a flow signal corresponding thereto; differentiation means for developing a derived signal representing a rate of change of the flow signal, and summation means for adding a representation of the derived signal to the flow signal to form a batch flow signal.
- 2. A batch flowmeter as in claim 1 further comprising input means for entering a compensation time constant and means for multiplying the derived signal with the compensation time constant to generate the representation of the derived signal.
- 3. A batch flowmeter as in claim 1 in which the representation of the derived signal includes a system time constant of a shut-off valve of the batch flowmeter.
- 4. A batch flowmeter as in claim 1 in which the representation of the derived signal includes a system time constant of the batch flowmeter.
- 5. A batch flowmeter as in claim 1 in which the representation of the derived signal includes a system time constant of a shut-off valve of the batch flowmeter and a system time constant of the batch flowmeter.
