Claims
- 1. A baby bath seat to be mounted on the bottom wall of a tub comprising
- a base having means for supporting the bath seat on and closely adjacent to the bottom of the tub,
- a seat disposed proximate to and above the base, so that a baby position on the seat will be disposed substantially within the tub,
- cooperating means between the base and the seat to secure the base and the seat together and enable rotation of the seat on the base,
- a rigid circular top portion disposed above and spaced from the seat for substantially encircling the body of the baby seated on the seat,
- and support means connected to the seat and top portion for carrying said top portion on the seat and providing openings between them for the legs of the baby on the seat to enable baby's legs to extend beyond the edges of the seat and to facilitate washing the baby's body disposed between the seat and top portion.
- 2. A baby bath seat as defined in claim 1 wherein
- means are provided on the base for releasably securing the base to the bottom of a bath tub.
- 3. A baby bath seat as defined in claim 1 wherein the top portion includes a back support for a baby seated on the seat.
- 4. A baby bath seat as defined in claim 1 wherein the support means provides large open areas between the seat and the top portion for providing access to the baby's body for washing while the baby is seated on the seat.
- 5. A baby bath seat as defined in claim 1 wherein
- latching means is connected between the seat and base for enabling the seat to be rotated on and be releasably locked in a plurality of selected positions relative to the base.
- 6. A baby bath seat as defined in claim 5 wherein the base and seat define an enclosed chamber between them and the latching means is disposed in the chamber.
- 7. A baby bath seat comprising
- a base having securing means extending therefrom for holding the base in an immobile position in a bath tub,
- a contoured seat mounted on and rotatable with respect to the base,
- a plurality of spaced apart posts on and extending upwardly from the seat,
- and a one-piece body encircling ring on the posts and spaced above the seat enabling a baby to be placed on the seat with one post disposed between the baby's legs for preventing the baby from sliding out of the seat and with the posts providing large open areas between the seat and ring for washing the baby's body while in the seat.
- 8. A baby bath seat as defined in claim 7 wherein
- the ring has a backrest for supporting the back of a baby seated on the seat.
- 9. A baby bath seat as defined in claim 8 wherein the ring has armrests for the baby on each side of the backrest.
- 10. A baby bath seat as defined in claim 7 wherein the ring has armrests for a baby seated on the seat.
