Claims
- 1. A process for producing a battery electrode substrate, comprising: mixing a Ni oxide powder of at most 20 .mu.m in a average particle size with a binder resin and a diluent to prepare a slurry; applying the slurry on a porous resin core body and then drying the same; and thereafter effecting a heat treatment in a reducing atmosphere within the temperature range of 900.degree. C. to 1,300.degree. C. to remove the organic resin component while simultaneously sintering Ni to form a porous Ni body having a carbon content of at most 0.2% and a porosity of at least 90%.
- 2. A process for producing a battery electrode substrate as set forth in claim 1, wherein the Ni oxide powder has an average particle size of at most 3 .mu.m.
