The patent pertains to a manufacturing method for a bearing with two oil slots extending in peripheral direction, in which from a strip material, a rectangular plate is detached and molded to the bearing.
Bearings of this kind are deployed as bearings in crankshaft beds. For example, U.S. Pat. No. 4,017,127 and U.S. Pat. No. 4,714,356 are used in such a manner that the oil slots only cover a limited angle range, which is limited by the manufacturing method. The oil slots are specifically included by milling activity in the completed bearing, which only permits a groove length over an angle range of at most 45 degrees.
In order to procure better lubricant supply in the vertex, an extension of the lubricant slot is desirable. In the DE-OS 26 17 843, a bearing, in this regard, three oil slots, successively arranged in peripheral direction, are being cut into the bearing as grooves, with a disk molding cutter. The oil slots run out in peripheral direction on both sides respectively in the form of cylinder shells, so that bars remain between the oil slots and in the range of the partial areas of the bearings. At the same time, these bars interrupt lubricant supply however as well.
At the same time, an expansion of the flow cross-section is aimed for, which leads, in the case of oil slots with a groove ground to a reduction of material in the groove ground.
As a result, the stability of the bearing admittedly suffers. An expansion of the oil slot is only possible in a limited way, because this would be accompanied by a narrowing of the wing section.
The function of the patent is to prepare a manufacturing method which avoids the disadvantages referred to. It is also the function of the patent to specify a corresponding manufacturing process.
The function is fulfilled by a manufacturing process with the criteria of claim 1.
It has been publicized surprisingly quickly that the stability of the bearing is not adversely affected if, where the oil slot is located near the known bearing, a slit-shaped opening is made. The openings are preferably axially located, so that on both sides, two equally large finger-like areas remain. The cross-section of the openings is clearly enlarged, through the elimination of the material in the ground of the groove, through which an oil channel is made. For the depth of these oil channels, the total thickness of the bearing is available.
The process for the manufacturing of such a bearing in which from the strip material the rectangular plate is removed and the plate reshaped to the bearing, provides for the insertion of the oil slots in the plate, in which slit-shaped openings which extend from the quoins along the length of the plate over an angle range from up to 60 degrees, are cut.
The laborious milling action required for the manufacture of the oil slot in the ready bearing is omitted, because the openings are already provided in the manufacture of the plates.
It is possible as a result of that to manufacture openings extending across a larger angle range than 45 degrees of the ready bearing.
The cutting action can be conducted during the detachment of the plates from the strip material. The detachment and cutting are preferably carried out in one operation, so that no losses of time arise in the manufacture of the plates.
In order to introduce the ramp-like section on the inside of the openings, a corresponding operation on the plate or on the ready bearing is provided.
This ramp-like section is preferably milled in, which if necessary can also be performed on the ready bearing.
Exemplified implementation forms of the patent are further commented upon on the basis of diagrams
