The disclosure relates to holster devices and more particularly pertains to a new holster device for storing a firearm on a mattress. The device includes a pair of holsters that are each coupled to a fitted bed sheet. Additionally, the holsters are positioned such that the holsters are positioned between a headboard and the mattress when the fitted bed sheet is positioned on the mattress.
The prior art relates to holster devices including a variety of brackets that can be positioned on or beneath a mattress for supporting a firearm holster. The prior art discloses a variety of fitted bed sheets which have pockets coupled thereto for storing objects. The prior art further discloses a variety of firearm holsters that can be releasably retained on a mattress. In no instance does the prior art disclose a fitted bed sheet that has a plurality of firearm holsters that are coupled to the fitted bed sheet.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a fitted bed sheet that has elastic corners for positioning over a mattress. A pair of pouches is each coupled to the fitted bed sheet to store objects for a user of the mattress. A pair of holsters is each coupled to the fitted bed sheet to hold a firearm. In this way a user of the mattress can access the firearm while the user is sleeping.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
A pair of pouches 30 is each of the pouches 30 is coupled to the fitted bed sheet 12 to store objects 32 for a user 33 of the mattress 16. The objects 32 might be personal objects, such as a smart phone, house keys, eyeglasses or any other object the user 33 may want to keep at close hand when the user 33 is sleeping. Each of the pouches 30 has a first lateral edge 34, a second lateral edge 36, a bottom edge 38 and a top edge 40. Each of the first lateral edge 34, the second lateral edge 36 and the bottom edge 38 of each of the pouches 30 is coupled to the top surface 26 of the fitted sheet. Additionally, the top edge 40 of each of the pouches 30 is free from the top surface 26 of the fitted sheet to define an opening 42 into each of the pouches 30. Each of the pouches 30 is positioned on a respective one of the first lateral side 18 and the second lateral side 20 of the fitted bed sheet 12, and each of the pouches 30 is positioned adjacent to the back side 22 of the fitted bed sheet 12.
A pair of holsters 43 is each coupled to the fitted bed sheet 12 to hold a firearm 44 thereby facilitating the user 33 of the mattress 16 to access the firearm 44 while the user 33 is sleeping. The firearm 44 may be a handgun of any conventional design or caliber. Each of the holsters 43 has a first sidelong edge 46, a second sidelong edge 48, an upper edge 50 and a lower edge 52. Moreover, each of the first sidelong edge 46, the second sidelong edge 48 and the lower edge 52 of each of the holsters 43 is coupled to the top surface 26 of the fitted bed sheet 12. The upper edge 50 of each of the holsters 43 is free from the top surface 26 to define an opening 54 into each of the holsters 43.
Additionally, the upper edge 50 of each of the holsters 43 angles downwardly between the first sidelong edge 46 and the second sidelong edge 48. In this way a grip 54 of the firearm 44 is exposed when the firearm 44 is positioned in one of the holsters 43. Each of the holsters 43 is positioned on the back side 22 of the fitted bed sheet 12 and each of the holsters 43 is positioned adjacent to a respective one of the first lateral side 18 and the second lateral side 20 of the fitted bed sheet 12. The holsters 43 are oriented such that the second sidelong side of the holsters 43 is directed toward each other.
A pair of panels 56 is provided and each of the panels 56 has a first surface 58. Each of the panels 56 is coupled to the bottom surface 28 of the fitted sheet having the first surface 58 abutting the bottom surface 28. Additionally, each of the panels 56 is aligned with a respective one of the holsters 43. Each of the panels 56 is comprised of a rigid material to inhibit the bed sheet 12 from being deformed by the weight of the firearm 44 in the respective holster.
In use, the fitted bed sheet 12 is positioned on the mattress 16 in the conventional manner of fitted bed sheets. In this way each of the pouches 30 is positioned on opposite sides of the mattress 16 and each of the holsters 43 is positioned between the mattress 16 and the headboard 24. Thus, a firearm 44 can be concealed in one of the holsters 43 while still being readily available to the user 33 when the user 33 is sleeping. In this way the user 33 can sleep with the comfort of knowing that they can defend themselves from an intruder.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
