- 2. A method as claimed in claim 1, wherein said subject is a human being and said compound is administered perorally or parentally in a dosage in the range of 10 to 4,000 mg per adult per day.
- 3. A method as claimed in claim 1 in which said polyprenyl compound has the formula: ##STR33## wherein n.sub.3 is an integer of 5. to 7.
- 4. A method as claimed in claim 3, wherein said subject is a human being, and said compound is administered perorally or parentally in a dosage in the range of 10 to 4,000 mg per adult per day.
- 5. A method of treating a microorganism infection, which comprises: administering to a subject suffering from a microorganism infection a therapeutically effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition which comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and a pharmaceutically effective amount of a polyprenyl compound selected from the group consisting of polyprenyl compounds having the following formulae: ##STR34## wherein n.sub.1 is an integer of 5 to 7 and R is a lower alkyl group, an aliphatic acyl group or an aromatic acyl group; ##STR35## wherein each of a and b is hydrogen or a and b are combined together to form a bond, and n.sub.2 is an integer of 1 to 10; ##STR36## wherein each of a and b is hydrogen or a and b are combined together to form a bond, and n.sub.2 is an integer of 1 to 10; 3,7,11,15-tetramethylhexadeca-1-en-3-ol, 3,7,11,15-tetramethyl-1,6,10,14-hexadecatetraen-3-ol, docosanol, phytol and iso-phytol.
- 6. A method as claimed in claim 5, wherein said subject is a human being, and said compound is administered perorally or parentally in a dosage in the range of 10 to 4,000 mg per adult per day.
- 7. A method as claimed in claim 5 in which said polyprenyl compound has the formula: ##STR37## wherein n.sub.3 is an integer of 5 to 7.
- 8. A method as claimed in claim 7, wherein said subject is a human being, and said compound is administered perorally or parentally in a dosage in the range of 10 to 4,000 mg per adult per day.
