The disclosure relates to beverage devices and more particularly pertains to a new beverage device for assigning a beverage can to a user. The device includes a beverage can that has number indicia printed on a top wall of the beverage can. The device includes a tab that is pivotally coupled to the beverage can and arrow indicia are printed on the tab. The tab is rotatable to direct the arrow tab to point at a respective one of the number indicia.
The prior art relates to beverage devices including a beverage bottle which has indicia printed on a cap and indicia printed on the bottle. The prior art discloses a plurality beverage containers which each has a unique band printed thereon to distinguish the plurality of beverage containers from each other. The prior art discloses a beverage container which has a plurality of rotating disks, each having indicia printed thereon, which are rotatable to assign the beverage container to a user. The prior art discloses a beverage can with a protective guard that is integrated into a tab of the beverage can.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a beverage can that has number indicia printed on a top wall of the beverage can. The number indicia comprise numbers ranging between one and ten. A tab is movably disposed on the top wall of the beverage can and the tab can be manipulated for opening the drinking opening. Marker indicia are printed on the tab and the tab is pivotable on the top wall such that the marker indicia are directed toward a respective one of the numbers of the number indicia. In this way the beverage can may be assigned to a user thereby inhibiting other individuals from drinking from the beverage can. Thus, the marker indicia and the number indicia inhibit the transmission of infectious diseases with the beverage can.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
A tab 26 is movably disposed on the top wall 16 of the beverage can 12 such that the tab 26 can be manipulated for opening 24 the drinking opening 24, and marker indicia 28 are printed on the tab 26. The tab 26 is pivotable on the top wall 16 such that the marker indicia 28 are directed toward a respective one of the numbers 18 of the number indicia 14. In this way the beverage can 12 may be assigned to a user thereby inhibiting other individuals from drinking from the beverage can 12. Thus, the marker indicia 28 and the number indicia 14 inhibit the transmission of infectious diseases with the beverage can 12 between the user and the other individuals.
The tab 26 has a front end 30, a rear end 32 and a top surface 34, and the tab 26 has a pivot point 36 which is located adjacent to the front end 30. The pivot point 36 is pivotally coupled to the top wall 16 of the beverage can 12 having the front end 30 being aligned with the drinking opening 24. The maker indicia are positioned on the top surface 34 and the marker indicia 28 are positioned adjacent to the rear end 32. Furthermore, the marker indicia 28 comprise an arrow 38 tapering to a point that is directed toward the rear end 32. The arrow 38 is pointed toward a respective one of the numbers 18 of the number indicia 14 when the tab 26 is rotated.
In use, the tab 26 is rotated to point the arrow 38 defined by the marker indicia 28 toward a respective one of the numbers 18 defined by the number indicia 14. In this way the user can assign the beverage can 12 to themselves when the user is consuming a beverage at gathering, such as a party or a holiday celebration. Thus, the beverage can 12 assigned to the user is less likely to be confused with other people's beverage containers. In this way the transmission of infectious diseases that would otherwise result from inadvertently sharing beverage containers is avoided.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
