The disclosure relates to beverage container holders and more particularly pertains to a new beverage container holder for holding a beverage container within a cooler.
The prior art relates to beverage container holders to be placed in a cooler. The devices in the prior art consist of pockets and trays and often resort to a rigid material for storage of beverage containers. There are many situations when it may be desirable to more gently and securely hold a set of beverage containers. For example, a hard cooler being carted around by an offroad vehicle will likely encounter bumps in the road which cause loose beverage containers in the cooler to be tossed around in the cooler, possibly damaging them and soiling the other contents of the cooler. Thus, the present invention addresses a need not met by the prior art, which does not disclose a device or system for compressibly securing a plurality of beverage containers within a resiliently compressible and resiliently stretchable beverage holder held inside a cooler.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a cooler having a perimeter wall defining an interior space, a plurality of beverage containers, and a holding member. The holding member is constructed of a resiliently compressible and resiliently stretchable material. Each of a plurality of holes in the holding member can receive an associated beverage container of the plurality of beverage containers therethrough such that the associated beverage container is compressibly secured within the hole. The holding member is positionable within the cooler.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
A plurality of holes 36 extend through the top side 22 and the bottom side 24 of the holding member 20, wherein each hole 36 is capable of receiving an associated beverage container 18 of the plurality of beverage containers 18 therethrough such that the associated beverage container 18 is compressibly secured within the hole 36. The plurality of holes 36 comprise twelve holes 36 positioned evenly spaced in three rows 38 and four columns 40, wherein each row 38 is parallel to each first opposing side 28 and each column 40 is parallel to each second opposing side 30.
In use, the holding member 20 is compressed to be positioned securely between the two opposing interior surfaces 34 of the perimeter wall 14 of the cooler 12. A beverage container 18 may be placed in each hole 36, thereby securing each beverage container 18 in each hole 36 and securing each beverage container 18 relative to the cooler 12. Thus, when the cooler 12 is moved around, each beverage container 18 is not tossed around inside the cooler 12.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
