Claims
- 1. A beverage dispensing system comprising:
a refrigerator including:
(a) a housing including a refrigeration compartment and at least one door which allows access to the refrigeration compartment; (b) a drink supply apparatus supported by the housing, the drink supply apparatus configured to removably hold a plurality of removable drink supply containers, wherein each of the drink supply containers can contain a variable volume of drink syrup, and the drink syrup in each of the drink supply containers can have a different flavor; (c) a water supply apparatus supported by the housing, the water supply apparatus including at least one water communication line which supplies water; (d) a gas supply apparatus supported by the housing, the gas supply apparatus configured to hold at least one gas supply container can contain a variable volume of carbon dioxide gas; (e) a beverage dispensing apparatus supported by the housing and operable to dispense a plurality of servings of beverages from: (i) the drink syrups supplied by the drink supply apparatus; and (ii) carbonated water including the water supplied by the water supply apparatus and the carbon dioxide supplied by the gas supply apparatus; (f) a display device supported by the housing; (g) at least one input device supported by the housing, the input device operable to enable a user to provide a plurality of inputs; (h) a processor in communication with the drink supply apparatus, the gas supply apparatus, the water supply apparatus, the display device and the input device; and (i) a memory device accessible by the processor, the memory device storing a plurality of instructions executable by the processor to produce orders for supplies of drink syrup and carbon dioxide gas; an order processing system having a processor in communication with the refrigerator's processor over a network, the order processing system operable to process the orders; and a drink syrup supply system having a processor in communication with the order processing system.
- 2. The beverage dispensing system of claim 1, wherein each of the drink supply containers includes a rigid plastic container.
- 3. The beverage dispensing system of claim 2, wherein each plastic container can hold approximately one liter of drink supply.
- 4. The beverage dispensing system of claim 1, wherein the gas supply container holds less than 100 grams of carbon dioxide gas.
- 5. The beverage dispensing system of claim 4, wherein the gas supply container holds no more than 78 grams of carbon dioxide gas.
- 6. The beverage dispensing system of claim 1, wherein the gas supply container holds carbon dioxide gas at a pressure no more than 1,000 pounds per square inch.
- 7. A beverage dispensing system comprising:
a refrigerator including:
(a) a housing including a refrigeration compartment which allows access to the refrigeration compartment; (b) a drink supply apparatus supported by the housing, the drink supply apparatus configured to hold a plurality of removable drink supply containers, wherein each of the drink supply containers can contain a variable volume of drink syrup, the drink syrup in each of the drink supply containers can have a different flavor; (c) a water supply apparatus supported by the housing, the water supply apparatus including at least one water communication line which supplies water; (d) a gas supply apparatus supported by the housing, the gas supply apparatus configured to hold at least one gas supply container which can contain a variable volume of carbon dioxide gas; (e) a beverage dispensing apparatus supported by the housing and operable to dispense a plurality of servings of beverages from: (i) the drink syrups supplied by the drink supply apparatus; and (ii) carbonated water including the water supplied by the water supply apparatus and the carbon dioxide supplied by the gas supply apparatus; (f) a display device supported by the housing; (g) at least one input device supported by the housing, the input device operable to enable a user to provide a plurality of inputs; (h) a processor in communication with the drink supply apparatus, the gas supply apparatus, the water supply apparatus, the display device and the input device; and (i) a memory device accessible by the processor, the memory device storing a plurality of instructions executable by the processor to produce orders for supplies of drink syrup and carbon dioxide gas; an order processing system having a processor in communication with the refrigerator's processor over a network, the order processing system operable to process the orders; a drink syrup supply system having a processor in communication with the order processing system; and a carbon dioxide gas supply system having a processor in communication with the order processing system.
- 8. The beverage dispensing system of claim 7, wherein each of the drink supply containers includes a rigid plastic container.
- 9. The beverage dispensing system of claim 8, wherein the plastic container holds approximately one liter of drink supply.
- 10. The beverage dispensing system of claim 7, wherein the gas supply container holds less than 100 grams of carbon dioxide gas.
- 11. The beverage dispensing system of claim 10, wherein the gas supply container holds no more than 78 grams of carbon dioxide gas.
- 12. The beverage dispensing system of claim 8, wherein the gas supply container holds carbon dioxide gas at a pressure no more than 1,000 pounds per square inch.
- 13. A beverage dispensing system comprising:
a refrigerator including:
(a) a housing including a refrigeration compartment which allows access to the refrigeration compartment; (b) a drink supply apparatus supported by the housing, the drink supply apparatus configured to removably hold a plurality of removable pressurizable drink supply containers, wherein each of the pressurizable drink supply containers can contain a variable volume of drink syrup, the drink syrup in each of the pressurizable drink supply containers can have a different flavor; (c) a water supply apparatus supported by the housing, the water supply apparatus including at least one water communication line which supplies water; (d) a gas supply apparatus supported by the housing, the gas supply apparatus configured to hold at least one gas supply container which can contain a variable volume of carbon dioxide gas; (e) a beverage dispensing apparatus supported by the housing and operable to dispense a plurality of servings of beverages from: (i) the drink syrups supplied by the drink supply apparatus; and (ii) carbonated water including the water supplied by the water supply apparatus and the carbon dioxide supplied by the gas supply apparatus; (f) a display device supported by the housing; (g) at least one input device supported by the housing, the input device operable to enable a user to provide a plurality of inputs; (h) a processor in communication with the drink supply apparatus, the gas supply apparatus, the water supply apparatus, the display device and the input device; and (i) a memory device accessible by the processor, the memory device storing a plurality of instructions executable by the processor to: (i) produce orders for supplies of drink syrup when the volume of the drink syrup in one or more of the pressurizable drink supply containers is decreased to a designated level; and (ii) produce orders for supplies of carbon dioxide gas when the volume of the carbon dioxide gas in the gas supply container is decreased to a designated level; an order processing system having a processor in communication with the refrigerator's processor over a network, the order processing system operable to process the orders; a drink syrup supply system having a processor in communication with the order processing system; and a carbon dioxide gas supply system having a processor in communication with the order processing system.
- 14. The beverage dispensing system of claim 13, wherein each of the pressurizable drink supply containers includes a container selected from the group consisting of a plastic bag in a box and a rigid plastic container.
- 15. The beverage dispensing system of claim 13, wherein the plastic container holds approximately one liter of drink supply.
- 16. The beverage dispensing system of claim 13, wherein the gas supply container holds less than 100 grams of carbon dioxide gas.
- 17. The beverage dispensing system of claim 13, wherein the gas supply container holds no more than 78 grams of carbon dioxide gas.
- 18. The beverage dispensing system of claim 13, wherein the gas supply container holds carbon dioxide gas at a pressure no more than 1,000 pounds per square inch.
