Claims
- 55. An aqueous beverage solution comprising:
water; L-ascorbic acid; EDTA; the solution being free of sufficient constituents which could mask color change due to oxidation of the L-ascorbic acid; and, wherein a color of the beverage is substantially stable over a desired predetermined time and the beverage has an initial color which is substantially colorless:
- 56. The beverage of claim 55 including at least one source of B vitamin where the B vitamin is selected from the group of: Niacin; pantothenic Acid; Pyridoxine HCL; vitamin B 12; or a mixture thereof.
- 57. The beverage of claim 55 including that the solution being free of sufficient constituents which could mask turbidity change due to oxidation of the L-ascorbic acid; and, a turbidity of the beverage is substantially stable over a desired predetermined time.
- 58. The beverage of claim 57 including at least one source of B vitamin where the B vitamin is selected from the group of: Niacin; pantothenic Acid; pyridoxine HCL; vitamin B 12; or a mixture thereof.
- 59. The beverage of claim 55 wherein the L-ascorbic acid concentration is in the range of about 10 ppm to about 1000 ppm.
- 60. The beverage of claim 58 wherein the L-ascorbic acid concentration is in the range of about 10 ppm to about 1000 ppm.
- 61. The beverage of claim 55 wherein the predetermined time is about 30 days.
- 62. The beverage of claim 55 wherein the predetermined time is in the range of between about 30 up to about 90 days.
- 63. The beverage of claim 55 wherein the predetermined time is in the range of between about 90 up to about 180 days.
- 64. The beverage of claim 55 wherein the predetermined time is in a range from between about 180 up to about 300 days.
- 65. The beverage of claim 59 wherein the predetermined time is about 30 days.
- 66. The beverage of claim 59 wherein the predetermined time is in the range of between about 30 up to about 90 days.
- 67. The beverage of claim 59 wherein the predetermined time is in the range of between about 90 up to about 180 days.
- 68. The beverage of claim 59 wherein the predetermined time is in the range of between about 180 up to about 300 days.
- 69. The beverage of claim 60 wherein the predetermined time is about 30 days.
- 70. The beverage of claim 60 wherein the predetermined time is in the range of between about 30 up to about 90 days.
- 71. The beverage of claim 60 wherein the predetermined time is in the range of between about 90 up to about 180 days.
- 72. The beverage of claim 60 wherein the predetermined time is in the range of between about 180 up to about 300 days.
- 73. The beverage of claim 55 made by a process including heated pasteurization.
- 74. The beverage of claim 73 made by a process including heating to a temperature in a the range from about 140° F. to about 212° F.
- 75. The beverage of claim 55 wherein the beverage has a pH in the range of about 3.0 to about 5.5.
- 76. The beverage of claim 59 made by a process including heated pasteurization.
- 77. The beverage of claim 76 made by a process including heating to a temperature in a the range from about 140° F. to about 212° F.
- 78. The beverage of claim 57 made by a process including heated pasteurization.
- 79. The beverage of claim 78 made by a process including heating to a temperature in a the range from about 140° F. to about 212° F.
- 80. The beverage of claim 57 wherein the beverage has a pH in the range of about 3.0 to about 5.5.
- 81. The beverage of claim 59 wherein the beverage has a pH in the range of about 3.0 to about 5.5.
- 82. The beverage of claim 60 wherein the beverage has a pH in the range of about 3.0 to about 5.5.
- 83. The beverage of claim 55 wherein the L-ascorbic acid concentration is in the range of about 25 ppm to about 375 ppm.
- 84. The beverage of claim 55 wherein the L-ascorbic acid concentration is in the range of about 10 ppm to about 500 ppm.
- 85. The beverage of claim 57 wherein the L-ascorbic acid concentration is in the range of about 25 ppm to about 375 ppm.
- 86. The beverage of claim 57 wherein the L-ascorbic acid concentration is in the range of about 10 ppm to about 500 ppm.
- 87. The beverage of claim 60 made by a process including heated pasteurization.
- 88. The beverage of claim 87 wherein the predetermined time is in the range of about 30 to about 90 days.
- 89. An aqueous beverage solution comprising:
water; L-ascorbic acid; EDTA; the solution being free of sufficient constituents which could mask turbidity change due to oxidation of the L-ascorbic acid; and, a turbidity of the beverage is substantially stable over a desired predetermined time and the beverage has an initial clarity which is substantially water clear.
- 90. The beverage of claim 89 including at least one source of B vitamin where the B vitamin is selected from the group of: Niacin; pantothenic Acid; pyridoxine HCL; vitamin B 12; or a mixture thereof.
- 91. The beverage of claim 89 wherein the L-ascorbic acid concentration is in the range of about 10 ppm to about 1000 ppm.
- 92. The beverage of claim 89 wherein the predetermined time is about 30 days.
- 93. The beverage of claim 89 wherein the predetermined time is in the range of between about 30 up to about 90 days.
- 94. The beverage of claim 89 wherein the predetermined time is in the range of between about 90 up to about 180 days.
- 95. The beverage of claim 89 wherein the predetermined time is in the range of between about 180 up to about 300 days.
- 96. The beverage of claim 91 wherein the predetermined time is about 30 days.
- 97. The beverage of claim 91 wherein the predetermined time is in the range of between about 30 up to about 90 days.
- 98. The beverage of claim 91 wherein the predetermined time is in the range of between about 90 up to about 180 days.
- 99. The beverage of claim 91 wherein the predetermined time is in the range of between about 180 up to about 300 days.
- 100. The beverage of claim 89 made by a process including heated pasteurization.
- 101. The beverage of claim 100 made by a process including heating to a temperature in a the range from about 140° F. to about 212° F.
- 102. The beverage of claim 89 wherein the beverage has a pH in the range of about 3.0 to about 5.5.
- 103. The beverage of claim 91 made by a process including heated pasteurization.
- 104. The beverage of claim 103 made by a process including heating to a temperature in a the range from about 140° F. to about 212° F.
- 105. The beverage of claim 90 wherein the beverage has a pH in the range of about 3.0 to about 5.5.
- 106. The beverage of claim 91 wherein the beverage has a pH in the range of about 3.0 to about 5.5.
- 107. The beverage of claim 89 wherein the L-ascorbic acid concentration is in the range of about 25 ppm to about 375 ppm.
- 108. The beverage of claim 89 wherein the L-ascorbic acid concentration is in the range of about 10 ppm to about 500 ppm.
- 109. The beverage of claim 57 wherein the predetermined time is about 30 days.
