Claims
- 1. A bill processor comprising:
- a front mask covering a part of a main body, said front mask defining a bill insert slot;
- a first bill transport passage connected to the bill insert slot, for guiding a bill inserted in a direction substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of bills stacked in a stacker toward a substantially middle portion of an interior of said main body; and
- a second bill transport passage for guiding the inserted bill from a termination end of said first bill transport passage along the longitudinal direction of the bills stacked in the stacker,
- wherein said front mask is fixed to a front plate which is pivotally supported by the main body so as to be opened or closed with respect to the main body, and
- said first bill transport passage includes:
- a horizontal part directly connected to said bill insert slot and extending in a horizontal direction;
- a falling part connected to said horizontal part and extending downward in a substantially vertical direction from a downstream end of said horizontal part;
- a bottom flat part consisting of an upstream portion and a downstream portion, the upstream portion being connected to said falling part and extending in a horizontal direction, downstream portion provided separately from the upstream portion and extending downstream of the upstream portion in a horizontal direction; and
- a rising part connected to the downstream portion of said bottom flat part and extending upward substantially vertically from a downstream end of said bottom flat part,
- wherein said horizontal part and the upstream portion of said bottom flat part are disposed inside said front mask, a lower chute constituting the upstream portion being pivotally supported, and
- when the front plate is opened with respect to the main body. the upstream portion of the bottom flat part is exposed and the lower chute is opened to release the bottom flat part.
- 2. A bill processor as set forth in claim 1, further comprising a bill judging means provided along one of said falling part and said rising part of said first bill transport passage.
- 3. A bill processor as set forth in claim 2, wherein the bill judging means comprises a photo sensor including a light emitting element and a light receiving element and a magnetic sensor having a magnetic head.
- 4. A bill processor comprising:
- a front mask covering a part of a main body, said front mask defining a bill insert slot;
- a first bill transport passage connected to the bill insert slot, for guiding a bill inserted in a direction substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of bills stacked in a stacker toward a substantially middle portion of an interior of said main body; and
- a second bill transport passage for guiding the inserted bill from a termination end of said first bill transport passage along the longitudinal direction of the bills stacked in the stacker,
- wherein said front mask is fixed to a front plate which is pivotably supported by the main body so as to be opened or closed with respect to the main body,
- said first bill transport passage consists of an upstream part and a downstream part, the upstream part being disposed inside said front mask, a lower chute constituting the upstream portion being pivotably supported, and
- when the front plate is opened with respect to the main body, the upstream part of the first bill transport passage is exposed and the lower chute is opened to release the bottom flat part.
- 5. A bill processor comprising:
- a front mask covering a part of a main body, said front mask defining a bill insert slot;
- a first bill transport passage connected to the bill insert slot, for guiding a bill inserted in a direction substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of bills stacked in a stacker toward a substantially middle portion of an interior of said main body; and
- a second bill transport passage for guiding the inserted bill from a termination end of said first bill transport passage along the longitudinal direction of the bills stacked in the stacker,
- wherein said front mask is fixed to a front plate which is pivotably supported by the main body so as to be opened or closed with respect to the main body, and
- said first bill transport passage includes:
- horizontal part directly connected to said bill insert slot and extending in a horizontal direction;
- a falling part connected to said horizontal part and extending downward in a substantially vertical direction from a downstream end of said horizontal part;
- a bottom flat part consisting of an upstream portion and a downstream portion, the upstream portion being connected to said falling part and extending in a horizontal direction (from a downstream end of said falling part), downstream portion provided separately from the upstream portion and extending downstream of the upstream portion in a horizontal direction; and
- a rising part connected to the downstream portion of said bottom flat part and extending upward substantially vertically from a downstream end of said bottom flat part,
- wherein said horizontal part and the upstream portion of said bottom flat part are disposed inside said front mask, a lower chute constituting the upstream portion being pivotally supported,
- bill transport means is provided for forcibly transporting a bill from said horizontal part to said rising part,
- shutter means for opening and closing the first bill transport passage is provided the upstream portion of the bottom flat part, and
- when the front plate is opened with respect to the main body, the upstream portion of the bottom flat part and the shutter means are exposed and the lower chute is opened to release the bottom flat part.
- 6. A bill processor as set forth in claim 5, further comprising a bill judging means provided along one of said falling part and said rising part of said first bill transport passage.
- 7. A bill processor as set forth in claim 6, wherein the bill judging means comprises a photo sensor including a light emitting element and a light receiving element and a magnetic sensor having a magnetic head.
- 8. A bill processor as set forth in claim 5, wherein said bill transport means comprises an endless transport belt and a follower roller which is in pressed contact with the transport belt.
