BILLIARD CUE ATTACHED WITH MULTIPURPOSE RUBBER PAD

Abstract

The present invention provides a multipurpose rubber pad of billiard cue, which is typically possessed of a coupling portion at one end, and a damping portion at another end, wherein said damping portion has a blind hole formed on the center surface for embedding an abrasive piece or a chalk piece in. in this case, said rubber pad not only has the conventional damping function, but also allows the player pick up it to scuff or shape the leather cue tip in the intermittent time of the course of a game depending on necessary. Therefore the rubber pad offered by the present invention has multipurpose feather facilitating to use conveniently.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a billiard cue, and more particularly to a multipurpose rubber pad attaching on said billiard cue stick.

2. Description of Prior Art

Billiards is a game played on a billiard table with billiard cue sticks, which has a heavy end named holding head, and a thin end named tail also called leather cue tip striking billiard ball. During the course of a game, people become used to stand the cue on the ground with one end, thereby scuff chalk powder on the leather cue tip with a chalk cube for increasing the friction of the leather cue tip as striking billiard ball, or lean against with hand for pondering over. Whatever any sake, the billiard cue stick is struck against the ground crossly with one end, crashing the rigid cue stick against the rigid ground is easy to occur the damage of cue stick, and the rigid strike brings to poor hand feel.

In accordance of the lack, some manufacturers attach a rubber pad on the heavy end, as shown in FIG. 1, for damping down the strike with the damping feathers of the rubber, further to protecting the cue stick, and obtaining good hand feel.

On the other hand, billiard cue tips are generally leather, through normal use, will lose their shape and ability to retain chalk, and the distorted leather cue tip will certainly affect the striking quality. So, the players could use a special tool banded with sandpaper to scuff or shape the leather cue tip to desired shape facilitating to increasing shot accuracy. But said special abrasive tool is generally an independent object, so is easy to disappear as needed, so as to be inconvenience. Likewise, according to said chalk cube in above, the same problem is existed.

In accordance of above-descriptions, the individual abrasive tool and chalk cube have to be placed on a certain place by the players in a game, but if integrating the both into said rubber pad, the billiard cue stick has more practicality.

OBJECTS AND SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is therefore a main object of the present invention to provide a multipurpose rubber pad of billiard cue stick that can scuff or shape the leather cue tip in an integrated rubber pad attached on the billiard cue stick.

For achieving the above-mentioned object, the present invention provides a resolution as follows:

A multipurpose rubber pad of billiard cue stick is typically possessed of a coupling portion at one end, and a damping portion at another end, said damping portion has a blind hole formed at center surface for embedding an abrasive piece.

A chalk piece is actively inserted into said blind hole above said abrasive piece.

Said abrasive piece is fixed on the bottom side of the blind hole rigidly, or actively embedded on the bottom side of the blind hole.

A multipurpose rubber pad of billiard cue stick is typically possessed of a coupling portion at one end, and a damping portion at another end, said damping portion has a blind hole formed at center surface for embedding a chalk piece.

An abrasive piece is actively inserted into said blind hole above said chalk piece.

Said chalk piece is fixed on the bottom side of the blind hole rigidly, or actively embedded on the bottom side of the blind hole.

Said abrasive piece has a recess formed on the surface.

As utilizing above-mentioned structure, due to the embedded abrasive piece or chalk piece at the inside of the blind hole formed on the surface of the damping portion of the rubber pad in the present invention, the leather cue tip can be shaped with the abrasive piece, or rubbed with chalk piece for improving shot accuracy and smooth, and reducing miscue efficiently, so said rubber pad not only has the conventional damping function, but also allows the player pick up it to scuff or shape the leather cue tip in the intermittent time of the course of a game depending on necessary. Therefore the rubber pad offered by the present invention has multipurpose feather facilitating to use conveniently.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIG. 2, a multipurpose rubber pad 1 of billiard cue provided by the present invention is typically possessed of a coupling portion 11 at one end, and a damping portion 12 formed at another end, therein a proper number of flanges 111 formed on said coupling portion 11, and a blind hole 13 formed on the center of the surface of the damping portion 12, in which an abrasive piece 14 is embedded, said abrasive piece 14 has a recess on the surface.

The FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 illustrate that the rubber pad 1 is coupled into the inside of the connection hole 21 of the holding head end of the billiard cue 2 by means of the tight fit with said flanges 111 for preventing rubber pad 1 from falling off. In the course of a game, the player rams the billiard cue against the ground in the intermittent time, the damping portion 12 of the rubber pad 1 touches against the ground, which not only improves the hand feel, but also avoids the billiard cue 2 damaging occurred by ramming against the ground.

On the other hand, referring to FIG. 5, when the player tends to scuff and or shape the leather cue tip 22 of the billiard cue 2, just need to take apart said rubber pad 1 from the holding head end of the billiard cue 2, and to make the abrasive piece 14 embedded into the blind hole 13 scuff on the leather cue tip 22 of the billiard cue 2 for shaping, and the surface of the recess of the abrasive piece 14 coordinates to the shaped of the tip 22 of the billiard cue 2 for obtaining better shaping or scuffing effect.

In above embodiment of the present invention, the rubber pad has scuffing and shaping functions, of course, the present invention also can integrate a chalk piece into the rubber pad replacing said abrasive piece, as shown in FIG. 6, in the next embodiment, in which said rubber pad 1 is also possessed of a coupling portion 11 and a damping portion 12 formed on the both ends separately, the difference is that a chalk piece 15 is embedded into the blind hole 13 of the surface end of the damping portion 12, so that the player can take apart said rubber pad 1 from the holding head end of the billiard cue 2 to rub against the tip 22 of the billiard cue 2 during the intermittent time in a game for keeping the tip 22 in anti-slip.

FIG. 7 illustrates one other embodiment of the present invention, in which said abrasive piece 14 is embedded into the bottom side of the blind hole 13 of the rubber pad 1 rigidly, whereon a chalk piece 15 is located on actively, thereby integrating a shaping tool (abrasive piece 14) and anti-slip tool (chalk piece 15) into said rubber pad 1. In practice, pick up said rubber pad 1, by means of the chalk piece 15 located on the rubber pad 1, to rub against the leather cue tip 22; as tending to scuff and shape the leather cue tip 22, just need to remove the chalk piece 15 from the blind hole 12 to expose the abrasive piece 14 into air, so that the abrasive piece 14 can be used for scuffing or shaping the tip 22 of the billiard cue 2, therefore getting to rub chalk against the tip 22 or to shape the tip 22 of the billiard cue 2 goal with one rubber pad 1.

Of course, the placing order of said abrasive piece 14 and the chalk piece 15 in the blind hole 13 in the present invention can be changed, such like chalk piece 15 is fixed on the bottom side of the blind hole 13 rigidly, and the abrasive piece 14 is located on the blind hole 13 above the chalk piece 15 actively. As tending to rub chalk against the tip 22, just need to remove the abrasive piece 14 from the blind hole 13.

It should be noted that, in above each embodiment, whatever the abrasive piece 14 or the chalk piece 15 is embedded on the bottom side of the blind hole 13 of the rubber pad 1, it should be fixed rigidly without any possible taking out, but it also can be embedded into the bottom side of the blind hole 13 actively, so as to change the placing order of them at willing depending on necessary.

1. A multipurpose rubber pad of billiard cue typically possessed of a coupling portion at one end, and a damping portion at another end, wherein said damping portion has a blind hole formed on the center surface for embedding an abrasive piece in.

2. A multipurpose rubber pad of billiard cue as claimed in claim 1, wherein a chalk piece is actively inserted into said blind hole above said abrasive piece.

3. A multipurpose rubber pad of billiard cue as claimed in claim 1, wherein said abrasive piece is fixed on the bottom side of the blind hole rigidly, or actively embedded on the bottom side of the blind hole.

4. A multipurpose rubber pad of billiard cue typically possessed of a coupling portion at one end, and a damping portion at another end, wherein said damping portion has a blind hole formed on the center surface for embedding a chalk piece in.

5. A multipurpose rubber pad of billiard cue as claimed in claim 4, wherein an abrasive piece is actively inserted into said blind hole above said chalk piece.

6. A multipurpose rubber pad of billiard cue as claimed in claim 4, wherein said chalk piece is fixed on the bottom side of the blind hole rigidly, or actively embedded on the bottom side of the blind hole.

7. A multipurpose rubber pad of billiard cue as claimed in claim 1, wherein said abrasive piece has a recess formed on the surface.
