Abstract

A billiard table with a cabinet includes an inner frame and a bottom frame formed under the billiard table. The inner frame consists of plural upright separating boards to define a center space, and the bottom frame consists of two opposite side strips and a plurality of rotatable rods spaced apart between the two side strips. One of the upright separating boards of the inner frame has a swingable board door hinged with the separating board to be opened and closed to form an opening for things such as related to billiards or games to be put in or taken out of the cabinet, utilizing most effectively the hollow space unused under the billiard table.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

This invention relates to a billiard table with a cabinet, particularly one provided with a cabinet under the billiard table for storing things related to the billiards and some games so as to utilize the unused space under a billiard table, and rotatable rollers are used as a bottom frame for things to roll in and out for easily storing therein and barely harming or damaging the things to be stored or taken out.

2. Description of the Prior Arts

A conventional billiard table is generally used for playing billiards only and sometimes a ping-pong table is laid on it for playing ping-pong. Or a craps board or a roulette board may be laid on a conventional billiard table for playing. Then a ping-pong table or game board may be left on a billiard table or may be put away on the ground, and it does not look so neat.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

This invention has been devised to offer a billiard table with a cabinet for storing things related to billiards and other games in the cabinet. The feature of the inventing is a cabinet formed in a hollow space under a billiard table, which consists of an inner frame and a bottom frame deposited at the bottom of the inner frame for storing things thereon. The upper side of the inner frame supports the board of a billiard table, and the inner frame has a swingable board door to be opened and closed to form an opening for things to move in and out to be stored on the bottom frame. Then items relative to billiards other games such craps and roulette can be stored in the cabinet when not used. The rotatable rollers of the roller bottom can let things to be moved in and out very easily and with little manual force without harming them.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

A preferred embodiment of a billiard table with a cabinet in the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, includes a plurality of feet 10, an inner frame consisting of a plurality of upright separating side boards 21 respectively positioned between every two feet 10, a table board supported by the upper side of the inner frame 20, a bottom frame 22 fitted in the bottom of the inner frame 20 and having its four corners upheld by the upper ends of the feet 10, as shown in FIG. 3.

The bottom frame 22 shown in FIG. 2 consists of two parallel side strips 220, and a plurality of rods 221 fixed spaced apart equidistantly and in parallel between the two side strips 220 and freely rotatable for benefit of putting in or taking out things on the bottom frame 22 by means of a bearing 222 fitted in the side strip 220 around each end of every rod 221.

The inner frame 20 has a swingable door board 210 formed in one of the upright separating sideboards 21 in parallel to the rods 221 with plural hinges 211 pivotally attached on the lower area of the board door 210 and the sideboard 21 as well. Further, fasteners 212 such as magnets are fixed on an upper inner side of the board door 210 for securing the closed board door 210 stably so that when things can be put through the opening 213 into the cabinet in case of the door board 210 swung open.

Thus, a cabinet with a door is constituted with the inner frame 20 with the board door 210 and the bottom frame 22 under the billiard table. Then in using, things related to billiards or other games such scraps and roulette can be stored in the cabinet through the opening 213 by swinging down the board door 210, and in addition, a craps board 40 or a roulette pattern 50 printed on the back 41 of the craps board 40 can be placed on the table 30 in case of the billiard table having complex functions, as shown in FIG. 5, for playing craps or roulette game. Moreover, the rollers 221 can freely rotate so that things stored therein or to be stored therein may be more easily put in or taken out with less manual force required.

As can be understood from the above description, the large space unused under a billiard table is most effectively utilized by forming a cabinet consisting of the inner frame 20 and the bottom frame 22, storing things related to billiards or other games, which are otherwise difficult to put away.

While the preferred embodiment of the invention has been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.

Claims

1. A billiard table with a cabinet comprising an inner frame supporting a billiard table, said inner frame secured by plural feet of the billiard table and formed of plural upright separating boards, said cabinet further comprising a bottom frame fixed at a bottom of said inner frame, said bottom frame having plural corners respectively fixed on an upper ends of said feet, one of said separating sideboards of said inner frame provided with a swingable board door pivotally connected to swing up and down to form an opening; said inner frame and said bottom frame forming a cabinet in the space under said billiard table for things to be put in or taken out through said opening, utilizing most effectively the billiard table.

The billiard table with a cabinet as claimed in claim 1, wherein said bottom frame has two opposite side strips, a plurality of rods spaced apart between said two side strips and positioned in parallel with said board door of said inner frame, two ends of each said rod respectively provided with a bearing fixed in said side strip so that all said rods are freely rotatable for things easily put in or taken out of the cabinet without harming them.

3. The billiard table with a cabinet as claimed in claim 1, wherein the swingable board door is pivotally connected with the side board by means of hinges, and fasteners are provided on an upper inner side to keep the closed board door stably without swinging down randomly.
