Claims
- 1. The process of applying to a device adapted for affixation to a mucous membrane, an effective adhesive amount of the composition comprising a non-toxic carrier and a polymer comprising between about 45 and about 70 weight % of units having the structure ##STR9## between about 50 and about 30 weight % of units having the structure ##STR10## and 2 to 7 weight % of an amine salt containing a lactam functionality derived from A and/or B, wherein R is hydrogen, alkoxy, phenyl, carboxyl or --N lactam having from 3 to 6 carbon atoms; R.sub.1 is C.sub.1 to C.sub.6 alkylene and R.sub.2 is C.sub.2 to C.sub.4 alkylene; said copolymer having a number average molecular weight of about 40,000 to about 500,000 and a relatively small particle size.
- 2. The process of claim 1 wherein an effective amount of said composition is employed for fixation of a denture.
- 3. A process for affixing to a mucous membrane having coated on its fixation surface, the composition of claim 1.
- 4. The process of claim 3 wherein an effective amount of said composition is employed for fixation of a denture.
