Claims
- 1. A method for the purification of a peroxidase enzyme comprising forming a solution of a peroxidase enzyme and a protein fixative selected from the group consisting of tannic acid, tannins, monolignols, fulvic acids, lignan, humic acids, melanoidins, proanthcyanidins, stilbenes, depsides, lignin model compounds, soluble suberin, flavonoids, dihydroxyphenyl compounds, kerogen, gallic acid esters, phenolic acids, gallic acid amides, hexahydroxydiphenic glucose estes, polymeric phenols, bis (hydroxyphenyl) sulfones, bitumens, soluble lignite extracts, sulfonated phenols and naphthols and their copolymers, melamineglyoxal/glyoxylate-phenol/naphthol condensates; peat euphorbia, cassia, rose, tea, grape and saxifragea; sulfonated extracts, and bark extracts, and graft copolymers derived from said extracts and syntans; adding a non-solvent for said enzyme to said solution to cause said enzyme to precipitate, and redissolving said enzyme and the peroxidase is recovered.
- 2. The method of claim 1 wherein said peroxidase enzyme is a soybean peroxidase.
