Claims
- 1. An ignition arrangement for a plurality of burners in a biogas flare, each burner having a tip from which a flame extends, the arrangement comprising:
at least one enclosure surrounding one of the burners and extending upwardly from the burner tip, said enclosure having an open top and an inner surface exposed to flame generated from the burner; a pilot for igniting the burner surrounded by said enclosure; an ignition port extending from the burner surrounded by said enclosure to an adjacent burner, such that when said pilot lights said enclosed burner, combustion gases from such burner travel through said ignition port to ignite the adjacent burner.
- 2. The ignition arrangement of claim 1 further comprising a ridge extending generally inwardly from said enclosure inner surface to create a positive pressure in said enclosure to enhance the flow of combustion gases through said ignition port.
- 3. The ignition arrangement of claim 1 including at least one additional ignition port for lighting an additional adjacent burner.
- 4. The ignition arrangement of claim 1 wherein the adjacent burner also has an enclosure with an open top and an inner surface, wherein said ignition port extends from said inner surface of said pilot light burner to the inner surface of said adjacent burner.
