Claims
- 1. An environmentally compatible composition formulated for use with various trees and plants, fruits and vegetables to enhance the growth thereof and to effectively control insects and fungi, said composition comprising from about 20 per cent to about 34 per cent surfactant and a terpene containing natural oil having a terpene content of at least about 50 per cent with the balance water, all by weight.
- 2. The environmentally compatible composition of claim 1 wherein said composition contains from about 3 per cent to about 7 per cent of high terpene containing natural oil by weight.
- 3. The environmentally compatible composition of claim 2 wherein said composition contains from about 25 per cent to about 30 per cent surfactant, by weight.
- 4. The environmentally compatible composition of claim 1 wherein said composition contains about 27 per cent surfactant and about 5 per cent terpene containing natural oil, all by weight.
- 5. The environmentally compatible composition of claim 1 wherein said surfactant comprises from about 8 per cent to about 12 per cent sulfonic acid; from about 5 per cent to about 9 per cent sodium laurel sulfate; from about 6 per cent to about 10 per cent alcohol ethoxylate and from about 1 per cent to about 3 per cent olefin sulfonate, all by weight.
- 6. The environmentally compatible composition of claim 1 wherein said surfactants comprises sulfonic acid, sodium laurel sulfate, alcohol ethoxylate and olefin sulfonate.
- 7. The environmentally compatible composition of claim 1 wherein said surfactants comprises about 10 per cent sulfonic acid; about 6.8 per cent sodium laurel sulfate; about 8.2 per cent alcohol ethoxylate; and about 1.7 olefin sulfonate, all by weight.
- 8. The environmentally compatible composition of claim 1 wherein said composition further comprises sodium tetraborate decahydrate.
- 9. The environmentally compatible composition of claim 1 wherein said composition further comprises from about 0.89 per cent to about 1.09 per cent sodium tetraborate decahydrate, by weight.
- 10. The environmentally compatible composition of claim 1 wherein said composition further comprises about 0.99 per cent sodium tetraborate decahydrate, by weight.
- 11. The environmentally compatible composition of claim 1 wherein said composition has a pH of from about 7.75 to about 9.
- 12. The environmentally compatible composition of claim 1 further comprising from about 1.25 per cent to about 1.37 per cent sodium hydroxide, by weight.
- 13. The environmentally compatible composition of claim 1 comprises about 5 per cent cold pressed orange oil, about 6.8 per cent sodium lauryl sulfate, about 8.2 per cent of alcohol ethoxylate, about 1.7 per cent sodium olefin sulfonate, about 10 per cent dodecylbenzene sulphonic acid and about 0.99 per cent sodium tetraborate decahydrate with the balance water, all by weight.
- 14. The environmentally compatible composition of claim 1 further comprises about 0.79 per cent urea by weight.
- 15. A method of controlling insects and fungi formed on fruits and vegetables by applying an environmentally-compatible composition to the fruits and vegetables, said composition comprising from about 20 per cent to about 34 per cent surfactant and a terpene containing natural oil having a terpene content of at least about 50 per cent with the balance water, all by weight; said composition is diluted with water at a dilution rate of from about 0.25 per cent to about 1.5 per cent by weight.
- 16. The method of controlling insects and fungi of claim 15 wherein said composition is diluted with water at a dilution rate of about 0.8 by weight.
- 17. The method of controlling insects and fungi of claim 15 wherein an application rate is from about 30 gallons per acre to about 100 gallons per acre.
- 18. The method of controlling insects and fungi of claim 15 wherein said composition contains from about 3 per cent to about 7 per cent of high terpene containing natural oil by weight.
- 19. The method of controlling insects and fungi of claim 18 wherein said composition contains from about 25 per cent to about 30 per cent surfactant, by weight.
- 20. The method of controlling insects and fungi of claim 15 wherein said composition contains about 27 per cent surfactant and about 5 per cent terpene containing natural oil, all by weight.
- 21. The method of controlling insects and fungi of claim 15 wherein said surfactant comprises from about 8 per cent to about 12 per cent sulfonic acid; from about 5 per cent to about 9 per cent sodium laurel sulfate; from about 6 per cent to about 10 per cent alcohol ethoxylate and from about 1 per cent to about 3 per cent olefin sulfonate, all by weight.
- 22. The method of controlling insects and fungi of claim 15 wherein said surfactants comprises sulfonic acid, sodium laurel sulfate, alcohol ethoxylate and olefin sulfonate.
- 23. The method of controlling insects and fungi of claim 15 wherein said surfactants comprises about 10 per cent sulfonic acid; about 6.8 per cent sodium laurel sulfate; about 8.2 per cent alcohol ethoxylate; and about 1.7 olefin sulfonate, all by weight.
- 24. The method of controlling insects and fungi of claim 15 wherein said composition further comprises sodium tetraborate decahydrate.
- 25. The method of controlling insects and fungi of claim 15 wherein said composition further comprises from about 0.89 per cent to about 1.09 per cent sodium tetraborate decahydrate, by weight.
- 26. The method of controlling insects and fungi of claim 15 wherein said composition further comprises about 0.99 per cent sodium tetraborate decahydrate, by weight.
- 27. The method of controlling insects and fungi of claim 15 wherein said composition has a pH of from about 7.75 to about 9.
- 28. The method of controlling insects and fungi of claim 15 further comprising from about 1.25 per cent to about 1.37 per cent sodium hydroxide, by weight.
- 29. The method of controlling insects and fungi of claim 15 comprises about 5 per cent cold pressed orange oil, about 6.8 per cent sodium lauryl sulfate, about 8.2 per cent of alcohol ethoxylate, about 1.7 per cent sodium olefin sulfonate, about 10 per cent dodecylbenzene sulphonic acid and about 0.99 per cent sodium tetraborate decahydrate with the balance water, all by weight.
- 30. The method of controlling insects and fungi of claim 15 further comprises about 0.79 per cent urea by weight.

A method of controlling insects formed on fruits and vegetables by applying an environmentally compatible composition to the fruits and vegetables, said composition comprising from about 20 per cent to about 34 per cent surfactant and a terpene containing natural oil having a terpene content of at least about 50 per cent with the balance water, all by weight; said composition is diluted with water at a dilution rate of from about 0.4 per cent to about 1.5 per cent by weight.
- 32. The method of controlling insects of claim 31 wherein said composition is diluted with water at a dilution rate of about 0.8 by weight.
- 33. The method of controlling insects of claim 31 wherein an application rate is from about 30 gallons per acre to about 100 gallons per acre.
- 34. A method of controlling fungi formed on fruits and vegetables by applying an environmentally compatible composition to the fruits and vegetables, said composition comprising from about 20 per cent to about 34 per cent surfactant and a terpene containing natural oil having a terpene content of at least about 50 per cent with the balance water, all by weight; said composition is diluted with water at a dilution rate of from about 0.2 per cent to about 0.6 per cent by weight.
- 35. The method of controlling fungi of claim 34 wherein said composition is diluted with water at a dilution rate of about 0.4 by weight.
- 36. The method of controlling fungi of claim 34 wherein an application rate is from about 30 gallons per acre to about 100 gallons per acre.
