Claims
- 1. An electronic watch having a reference frequency generator means, an integrated circuit timekeeping circuit including a frequency divider coupled to said reference frequency generator and counter means coupled to said frequency divider means for producing electrical signals indicative of time, a display means coupled to said counter means for displaying time, and means for coupling a source of power to said integrated circuit and display means for providing power thereto, said integrated circuit being implemented in current injection logic including a plurality of flip-flops comprised of a plurality of cells, each cell having a lateral PNP transistor providing injection base drive into a vertical NPN transistor coupled to operate in the inverse mode, the collector of said lateral transistor and the base of said vertical transistor commonly sharing a P-type region in said integrated circuit and the base of said lateral transistor and the emitter of said vertical transistor commonly sharing an N-type region in said integrated circuit, the emitters of a plurality of said vertical transistors commonly sharing another P-type region in the integrated circuit and configured such that the vertical transistors of selected of said cells have different emitter geometries than others of said cells, whereby said selected cells are configured to receive a different amount of power from said power source than said other cells.
- 2. The electronic watch according to claim 1 including a current regulator means for coupling said power source to said integrated circuit.
- 3. The electronic watch according to claim 1, wherein the emitters of the vertical transistors of said selected cells have a greater surface area than said other cells.
- 4. The electronic watch according to claim 1, wherein the emitters of the vertical transistors of said selected cells have a larger perimeter than said other cells.
- 5. The electronic watch according to claim 1, wherein the emitters of said plurality of vertical transistors includes an elongated region forming said commonly shared P-type region.
- 6. The electronic watch according to claim 5, wherein the emitters of said plurality of vertical transistors include extension portions which extend to preselected lengths substantially orthogonally to said elongated regions.
- 7. The electronic watch according to claim 6, wherein the extension portions of the vertical transistors of said selected cells are of a different length than the vertical transistor of said other cells.
