Claims
- 1. A process for the production of a foamed thermoplastic mass comprising mixing a thermoplastic with a blowing agent comprising urea dicarboxylic acid anhydride, and heating the resulting mixture to a temperature from about 150.degree. to 350.degree. C. thereby to effect foaming.
- 2. A process as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mixture is heated to a temperature from about 160.degree. to 300.degree. C.
- 3. A process as claimed in claim 1, wherein the blowing agent comprises 10 to 100% by weight of urea dicarboxylic acid anhydride, 0 to 90% by weight of at least one water-eliminating compound and 0 to 90% by weight of at least one known blowing agent.
- 4. A process as claimed in claim 1, wherein the blowing agent consists essentially of 35 to 80% by weight of urea one water-eliminating compound and 0 to 45% by weight of at least one known blowing agent.
