The present invention relates generally to the field of hands-frees smoking devices. More specifically, the present invention relates to a headset device with a flexible arm that holds a cigar or cigarette in an easily accessible position. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices and methods of manufacture.
By way of background, this invention relates to improvements in hands-free smoking devices. Generally, people who enjoy smoking cannabis or tobacco may try to smoke hands-free by keeping their smoking implement in their mouth. However, paper rolls can get soggy and unusable after a period of time, if constantly kept in the mouth. Further, putting down and picking up other object like a video game controller, to enjoy smoking, can be frustrating.
Additionally, smoking is a joyful thing to those heavy smokers. However, it is not convenient to hold a burning piece of cigarette/blunt with your fingers when one is working or driving a car, or doing any other activity which requires use of their hands. Furthermore, frequently holding a burning piece of cigarette/blunt in your fingers will cause the skin of the fingers to blackened.
Accordingly, there is a demand for an improved hands-free smoking device that offers a means for keeping the smoking implement in a hands-free smoking position. More particularly, there is a demand for a hands-free smoking device that includes a flexible arm for adjusting the position of the cigarette/blunt.
Therefore, there exists a long felt need in the art for a hands-free smoking device that provides users with a headset device with a flexible arm that holds a cigar or cigarette in an easily accessible position. There is also a long felt need in the art for a hands-free smoking device that offers multipurpose use for keeping the smoking implement in a hands-free smoking position, especially useful for playing video games and other tasks. Further, there is a long felt need in the art for a hands-free smoking device that allows users to easily adjust the position of the flexible arm to maximize comfort while smoking. Moreover, there is a long felt need in the art for a device that prevents users from having to constantly stop and restart a task, like playing video games, to smoke. Further, there is a long felt need in the art for a hands-free smoking device that comprises different sized holders for the cigarettes, cigars, or blunts. Finally, there is a long felt need in the art for a hands-free smoking device that is a multifunctional device for multitaskers.
The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a hands-free smoking device. The device is a marijuana cigarette, tobacco cigarette, and/or cigar holder for use while gaming and other tasks. The device is worn over the head like a headset and allows the user to smoke hands free. The hands-free smoking device comprises a headset component with a flexible arm component. The flexible arm component retains a smoking implement holder. The smoking implement holder is available in multiple shapes and sizes to hold any size cigarette, blunt, cigar, etc. The flexible arm component is bendable and can be bent in any position near a user's mouth or in any direction needed. Further, the headset component can comprise a cushioning component positioned near a user's head or neck when worn. Thus, the device enables users to maintain a comfortable and hands-free position to smoke, while playing games, walking, or performing other tasks, without having to stop what they're doing to smoke.
In this manner, the hands-free smoking device of the present invention accomplishes all of the forgoing objectives and provides users with a device that provides a means for keeping the smoking implement in a hands-free smoking position. The device is a multifunctional device for multitaskers. The device can utilize different sized holders for smoking implements.
The following presents a simplified summary in order to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the disclosed innovation. This summary is not an extensive overview, and it is not intended to identify key/critical elements or to delineate the scope thereof. Its sole purpose is to present some general concepts in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later.
The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a hands-free smoking device. The device is worn over the head like a headset and allows the user to smoke hands free. The hands-free smoking device comprises a headset component with a flexible arm component. The flexible arm component retains a smoking implement holder. The smoking implement holder is available in multiple shapes and sizes to hold any size cigarette, blunt, cigar, etc. The flexible arm component is bendable and can be bent in any position near a user's mouth or in any direction needed. Thus, the device enables users to maintain a comfortable and hands-free position while smoking.
In one embodiment, the hands-free smoking device can be used with any suitable smoking product, such as, but not limited to, marijuana cigarettes, tobacco cigarettes, or cigars, etc. The device allows a user to perform tasks, such as playing video games, driving, playing the piano, drums, etc., or any other suitable tasks that are typically performed with your hands, while also smoking. Generally, the hands-free smoking device is worn over the head like a headset and allows the user to smoke hands free. Thus, the device enables users to maintain a comfortable and hands-free position while smoking.
In one embodiment, the hands-free smoking device comprises a headset component that is configured in an arched shape, with a curved main frame section and two elongated sliding or telescoping ends which allow the headset component to be extended or retracted, as needed. Specifically, the two elongated ends are sized to fit within the curved main frame section, which allows the two elongated ends to slide within the curved main frame section. Thus, the two elongated sliding ends allow the headset component to expand or retract, as needed. Once the two elongated sliding ends are in the desired position, a lock component is engaged to secure them in place. Typically, the two elongated ends are extended and retracted via a sliding lock, but in another embodiment the two elongated ends are extended and retracted via a telescoping lock. In another embodiment, the two elongated ends slide within the curved main frame section and comprise through holes or sliding slots, allowing the two ends to be secured in position. Specifically, a bolt is inserted into a through hole/sliding slot to secure the two ends in place. Further, the bolt can be moved along the respective sliding slots/through hole, therefore the two elongated ends can be moved relative to the curved main frame section, to adjust the combined length of the headset component during use.
In one embodiment, the interior of the curved main frame section comprises a cushioning component. The cushioning component provides comfort to a user's head and/or neck during use. The cushioning component can be any suitable cushioning means as is known in the art, as long as the component acts to cushion a user. In another embodiment, the interior of the two elongated ends can also comprise a cushioning component for providing comfort to a user's head and/or neck.
In one embodiment, the headset component comprises a flexible arm component. The flexible arm component secures to either elongated end and extends down towards a user's mouth. The arm component is secured to the elongated end via glueing, adhesive, screws, pins, etc., or any other suitable securing means as is known in the art. Further, the arm component is flexible and typically manufactured of a bendable, rubber wire or other suitable resilient material that can be bent or curved toward a user's mouth or in any direction needed. Additionally, the arm component is flexible enough to be bent in a desired position and yet resilient enough to retain that position, during use.
In one embodiment, the end of the arm component comprises an acceptance feature which releasably secures a smoking implement holder. The smoking implement holder is sized and shaped to retain at least one cigarette, cigar, or blunt, etc., or any other suitable smoking implement. Typically, the smoking implement holder comprises a circular through hole which accepts the at least one smoking implement. In one embodiment, the interior of the circular through hole comprises a plurality of grooves, notches, slits, etc., which act to grip the smoking implement and help retain it within the smoking implement holder, without it falling out and burning the user. Further, in one embodiment, the device can comprise multiple smoking implement holders of varying sizes and shapes to hold varying sizes and shapes of smoking implements. For example, one smoking implement holder can comprise a larger circular through hole for retaining cigars, while another smoking implement holder can comprise a smaller circular through hole for cigarettes, etc. Additionally, an exterior surface of the circular through hole comprises a protruding feature which is inserted into the acceptance feature of the arm component to secure the smoking implement holder in place. The protruding feature allows the smoking implement holder to be releasably secured to the arm component. Any suitable securing means can be utilized as is known in the art, to secure the smoking implement holder to the arm component.
In one embodiment, the smoking implement holder can be configured as a tube which comprises a larger surface area than the circular through hole to retain a cigarette, cigar, or blunt without worry of burning one's fingers or dropping the smoking implement, during use.
In one embodiment, the headset component can be integrated into a pair of headphones or other suitable headwear device. The headset component can be fully integrated with the headphones as a one-piece integral component or the headset component can be a separate component and attached aftermarket to the headphones. In another embodiment, the headset component is a separate component from the headphones and is not attached but can be utilized with the headphones, such that the headset component does not interfere with the use of the headphones and can be used simultaneously with the headset component.
When in use, the headset component is extended or retracted to fit around a user's head or neck, then secured in place. Once in position, then the cigarette or other smoking implement is inserted into the smoking implement holder that is sized and shaped to fit the smoking implement. Then, the smoking implement holder and cigarette are secured to the arm component. Then, the arm component is bent toward a user's mouth, such that the user can smoke hands-free with the device.
In yet another embodiment, the hands-free smoking device comprises a plurality of indicia.
In yet another embodiment, a method of smoking a cigar, cigarette, or blunt hands-free is disclosed. The method includes the steps of providing a hands-free smoking device comprising a headset component with a flexible arm component. The method also comprises inserting a specifically sized smoking implement holder into the flexible arm component. Further, the method comprises securing a cigarette, cigar, or blunt within the smoking implement holder. The method also comprises securing the headset component around a user's head or neck. The method includes adjusting the flexible arm component and attached smoking implement holder in front of a user's mouth. Finally, the method comprises smoking the cigarette, cigar, or blunt hands-free.

The present invention, in one exemplary embodiment, is a novel hands-free smoking device. The device is worn over the head like a headset and allows the user to smoke hands free. The hands-free smoking device comprises a headset component with a flexible arm component. The flexible arm component retains a smoking implement holder. The smoking implement holder is available in multiple shapes and sizes to hold any size cigarette, blunt, cigar, etc. The flexible arm component is bendable and can be bent in any position near a user's mouth or in any direction needed. Further, the headset component can comprise a cushioning component positioned near a user's head or neck when worn. Thus, the device enables users to maintain a comfortable and hands-free position while smoking. The present invention also includes a novel method of smoking a cigar, cigarette, or blunt hands-free. The method includes the steps of providing a hands-free smoking device comprising a headset component with a flexible arm component. Generally, the hands-free smoking device 100 can be used with any suitable smoking product, such as, but not limited to, marijuana cigarettes, tobacco cigarettes, or cigars, etc. (i.e., smoking implement 108). The device 100 allows a user 110 to perform tasks, such as playing video games, driving, playing the piano, drums, etc., or any other suitable tasks that are typically performed with your hands, while also smoking. Generally, the hands-free smoking device 100 is worn over the head 114 like a headset and allows the user 110 to smoke hands free. Thus, the device 100 enables users 110 to maintain a comfortable and hands-free position while smoking.

Further, the interior 210 of the curved main frame section 200 comprises a cushioning component 212. The cushioning component 212 provides comfort to a user's head 114 and/or neck 116 during use. The cushioning component 212 can be any suitable cushioning means as is known in the art, as long as the component acts to cushion a user 110. In another embodiment, the interior 210 of the two elongated ends 202 can also comprise a cushioning component 212 for providing comfort to a user's head 114 and/or neck 116.
Additionally, the headset component 102 comprises a flexible arm component 104. The flexible arm component 104 secures to either elongated end 202 and extends down towards a user's mouth 112. The arm component 104 is secured to the elongated end 202 via glueing, adhesive, screws, pins, etc., or any other suitable securing means as is known in the art. Further, the arm component 104 is flexible and typically manufactured of a bendable, rubber wire or other suitable resilient material that can be bent or curved toward a user's mouth 112 or in any direction needed. Additionally, the arm component 104 is flexible enough to be bent in a desired position and yet resilient enough to retain that position, during use.
Furthermore, the end 214 of the arm component 104 comprises an acceptance feature 216 which releasably secures a smoking implement holder 106. The smoking implement holder 106 is sized and shaped to retain at least one cigarette, cigar, or blunt, etc., or any other suitable smoking implement 108. Typically, the smoking implement holder 106 comprises a circular through hole 218 which accepts the at least one smoking implement 108. In one embodiment, the interior 220 of the circular through hole 218 comprises a plurality of grooves 222, notches, slits, etc., which act to grip the smoking implement 108 and help retain it within the smoking implement holder 106, without it falling out and burning the user 110. Further, in one embodiment, the device 100 can comprise multiple smoking implement holders 106 of varying sizes and shapes to hold varying sizes and shapes of smoking implements 108. For example, one smoking implement holder 106 can comprise a larger circular through hole 218 for retaining cigars, while another smoking implement holder 106 can comprise a smaller circular through hole 218 for cigarettes, etc. Additionally, an exterior surface 224 of the circular through hole 218 comprises a protruding feature 226 which is inserted into the acceptance feature 216 of the arm component 104 to secure the smoking implement holder 106 in place. The protruding feature 226 allows the smoking implement holder 106 to be releasably secured to the arm component 104. Any suitable securing means can be utilized as is known in the art, to secure the smoking implement holder 106 to the arm component 104.

Further, the headset component 102 can be integrated into a pair of headphones 302 or other suitable headwear device. The headset component 102 can be fully integrated with the headphones 302 as a one-piece integral component or the headset component 102 can be a separate component and attached aftermarket to the headphones 302. The headset component 102 of the device 100 may include advertising, a trademark, or other letters, designs, or characters, printed, painted, stamped, or integrated into the headset component 102, or any other indicia 500 as is known in the art. Specifically, any suitable indicia 500 as is known in the art can be included, such as but not limited to, patterns, logos, emblems, images, symbols, designs, letters, words, characters, animals, advertisements, brands, etc., that may or may not be headset, smoking, or brand related.
