Wherein, said narrow central portion 602 is closely bound to said proximate end 208 of said top portion 102 and said bottom portion 104.

Finally, in yet another embodiment, said rivet holding assembly 100 can be constructed of non-plastic material, such as metal, paper, cardboard, or other materials as would be obvious to one in the art.

In one embodiment, said bottom portion 104 of said rivet holding assembly 100 can comprise a concave lower face 900 configured to match a convex top portion 1000 of said hat 300 around said rivet 302. Wherein, said bottom portion 104 is configured to securely hold said rivet holding assembly 100 against said hat 300 and prevent movement of said rivet holding assembly 100 relative to said rivet 302 and said hat 300.
In one embodiment, said hat accessory 400 can comprise a toy, sports memorabilia, a safety light, a fashion accessory, a group affiliation, or similar. Illustrated herein are three variations, such as bobble head 1100, an LED light 1102, a football helmet 1104, a baseball hat 1200, a ball 1202 such as a soccer ball, a character 1204 such as a mascot or cartoon character, a bug 1300 such as an ant or spider, a storage box 1400 and/or a fashion accessory 1402 such as a ponytail or hair extension. In one embodiment, said storage box 1400 can comprise a tackle box such as those used in fishing; wherein, a user can attach said storage box 1400 to said rivet 302 and have ready access to fishing supplies. As is known in the art “LED” can stand for “light emitting diode”.
In one embodiment, said alternative embodiment 1500 of said rivet holding assembly 100 can comprise one or more tabs 1502 and One or more sockets 1504 configured to selectively hold together said top portion 102 and said bottom portion 104. For example, in one embodiment, said One or more sockets 1504 can be arranged in a portion of said bottom portion 104, said one or more tabs 1502 can be arranged in a portion of said top portion 102; wherein, with said top portion 102 and said bottom portion 104 closed on one another, said one or more tabs 1502 and said One or more sockets 1504 align and attach to one another.
Said one or more tabs 1502 can comprise a first tab 1502a and a second tab 1502b. Said One or more sockets 1504 can comprise a first socket 1504a and a second socket 1504b. Said one or more tabs 1502 can be in said top portion 102 and said One or more sockets 1504 can be in said bottom portion 104.
Said rivet holding assembly 100 is further configured to have said closed configuration 700, wherein said top portion 102 and said bottom portion 104 selectively hold onto one another. Wherein, said rivet 302 can be held within said rivet holding assembly 100 in all directions by blocking edges through said slot opening 216 by wrapping said top portion 102 around a portion of said rivet 302.
In one embodiment, with said rivet holding assembly 100 in said closed configuration 700, said rivet 302 can be centered with said rivet holding assembly 100 along said central axis 210.
As illustrated, said rivet 302 is detached from said hat 300. It is to be understood by the reader than said rivet 302 is connected to said hat 300 in use of said rivet holding assembly 100.
In one embodiment, said alternative embodiment 1500 of said rivet holding assembly 100 can comprise two horizontal accessory tabs 1600, a first horizontal accessory tab 1600a and a second horizontal accessory tab 1600b.
