Systems for utilizing a mobile book reading table have been utilized for some time. However, there is a deficiency in that all of the known existing systems are limited to the particular use of a single book. The present invention provided a multiuse system whereby an easel and book table are selectively utilized by a user.
In one embodiment, the present invention is a travel book easel system, said system comprising: a case; an easel; a book table, whereby said book table includes at least one table support; fastening magnets associated with each of said case and said table and table support.
In one embodiment, the system is selectively configurable as a table or easel.
In one embodiment, the fastening magnets are selectively paired to configure the system as a table or easel.
The present invention relates in general to a travel book easel system. Travel book easel system 10 includes an easel 11 and case 12. Travel book easel system 10 further has a book ledge 22 associated with easel 11 and a fastening magnet 20 associated with table support 26. Easel 11 and table support 26 are connected to each other along a single edge using table hinge support 28. Table hinge support 28 is any hinge as is known in the art that provides for the hinged rotational movement about a hinge axis. The hinge rotational movement can be a pin rotation as would commonly be seen with a door hinge, or a living hinge whereby a unitary piece is configured for the hinged motion. Table 24 is attached to case 12 using a fastening magnet 20 and a table-to-case hinge 30.
In a configuration as demonstrated in
Each of table 24 and table support 26 are constructed and arranged with magnets 20 that are complimentary with magnets 20 attached to case 12. Magnets 20 are used in order to secure table 24 in a desired position. In use, a person will open case 12, select the configuration desired and position either easel or table support into a selected position.
While the invention has been described in its preferred form or embodiment with some degree of particularity, it is understood that this description has been given only by way of example and that numerous changes in the details of construction, fabrication, and use, including the combination and arrangement of parts, may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
