Claims
- 1. A nonionic borane reducing resin which comprises a solid, crosslinked copolymer containing a plurality of amine of phosphine borane adducts of the formula: ##STR7## wherein Q is a group of the formula
- --(CH.sub.2).sub.m --T--(CH.sub.2).sub.n --;
- m and n are independently integers from 0 to 3;
- T is the group ##STR8## R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently (a) hydrogen,
- (b) (C.sub.1 -C.sub.8) optionally substituted alkyl,
- (c) (C.sub.6 -C.sub.12) optionally substituted aryl, and
- (d) (C.sub.7 -C.sub.12) optionally substituted aralkyl; and
- Z is nitrogen or phosphorous.
- 2. A resin according to claim 1 wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently hydrogen, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.8) unsubstituted alkyl, (C.sub.6 -C.sub.12) unsubstituted aryl or (C.sub.7 -C.sub.12) unsubstituted aralkyl.
- 3. A resin according to claim 2 wherein T is the group ##STR9## and Z is nitrogen.
- 4. A resin according to claim 1 wherein Q is ##STR10## Z is nitrogen and R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently hydrogen, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.8) unsubstituted alkyl, (C.sub.6 -C.sub.12) unsubstituted aryl or (C.sub.7 -C.sub.12) unsubstituted aralkyl.
