Claims
- 1. A process for the preparation of hydrogenation catalysts which comprises contacting a platinum, palladium, rhodium or iridium containing aqueous or nonaqueous medium with a nonionic borane reducing resin which comprises a solid, crosslinked copolymer carbon backbone resin having a plurality of amine- or phosphine-borane adducts attached thereto, and separating the resultant metal-containg resin.
- 2. A process according to claim 1 which contains the additional step of pyrolyzing the metal resin.
- 3. A process according to claim 1 which contains the additional step of combusting the metal containing resin in the presence of oxygen.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
This is a continuation-in-part of U.S. patent application Ser. No. 24,928 filed Mar. 29, 1979, which in turn was a division of U.S. patent application Ser. No. 749,560, filed Dec. 10, 1976, both now abandoned.
