Claims
- 1. A boron cross-linking solution for gelling aqueous treating fluids for and oil and gas reservoir comprising an alkali metal salt, ammonium salt, or water soluble amine salts of an alpha hydroxy carboxylic acid and boric acid at a concentration of from 1% to 25% by weight boric acid in an aqueous media with a pH of at least 6.0.
- 2. The boron cross-linking solution in accordance with claim 1 wherein 1% to 10% by weight ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid is added to the solution.
- 3. The boron cross-linking solution in accordance with claim 1 wherein 1% to 10% glycerine is added to the solution.
- 4. The boron cross-linking solution in accordance with claim 1 wherein the solution contains 1% to 10% ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and glycerine.
