Claims
- 1. A method for the liquid phase epoxidation of an olefin having from about 2 to about 60 carbon atoms with an organic hydroperoxide comprising the step of:
- intimately contacting said olefin with said organic hydroperoxide at lower temperatures of about 25.degree. C to about 200.degree. C and pressures sufficient to maintain the product and reactants substantially in liquid phase in the presence of a catalytically effective amount of a binary boride consisting of boron and cerium.
- 2. The method of claim 1 wherein said binary boride compound is CeB.sub.6.
