Abstract
The present invention, referred to as the Braiding Station, is a specially designed beauty accessory apparatus which assist a hair stylist in preparing hair extensions for attachment to a person's hair. It can be used in a person's home or in a beauty salon. The hair braiding rack enables the stylist to separate a plurality of braiding hair extensions onto multiple pegs which are vertically attached to a tray. It allows for an expedited application process, allowing the extension to stay untangled from others. The apparatus comprises a telescopic pole with a wheelbase allowing for movement on surfaces. A wheel brake attached to one wheel allows the apparatus to stay in one location. The attached tray holds materials. A sliding mechanism attaches the hair rack to the tray. The sliding mechanism allows the rack to fold up and down for easy storage.
Description
SUMMARY OF INVENTION

The present invention, referred to as the Braiding Station, is a specially designed beauty accessory apparatus which assist a hair stylist in preparing hair extensions for attachment to a person's hair. It can be used in a person's home or in a beauty salon. The hair braiding rack enables the stylist to separate a plurality of braiding hair extensions onto multiple pegs which are vertically attached to a tray. It allows for an expedited application process, and each hair braiding extension is untangled from others. The apparatus comprises a telescopic pole with a wheelbase allowing for movement on surfaces. A wheel brake attached to one wheel allows the apparatus to stay in one location. Attached to the telescopic pole is a tray to hold materials. A sliding mechanism attaches the hair braiding rack with pegs to the tray. The sliding mechanism allows the rack to fold up and down for easy storage.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Hair extensions are lengths of real or artificial hair that can be attached to a person's own natural hair in order to add length and thickness to a person's natural hair. Hair extensions are designed to blend and move naturally with a person's own hair, making it difficult to tell when a person is wearing them. Hair extensions also come in a variety of colors, textures, styles, and lengths, which allow a person to change the appearance of his or her hair. The stylist must select and separate the hair extensions to be braided onto a person's existing hair. In addition, the stylist must carefully remove the selected hairs and prevent them from entangling or becoming disarranged. This process can be cumbersome therefore, there exists a need for a hair rack that prevents separated hair extensions from becoming entangled.

Generally, hair extensions for braiding are supplied in a form where the hair is packaged as one long piece of hair held together by a rubber band. The stylist must separate the strands of hair to be attached to the person's hair. The extensions are applied one at a time, each with a limited number of hair strands. Many extensions are required to provide the desired effect. The process of applying hair extension is time consuming and usually requires several hours to complete. Alternatively, the stylist might lay the extensions out flat on a table or chair and reach for them as needed. Unfortunately, when presented in this manner, the extensions often become disarrayed or tangled with one another, requiring the stylist to suspend the process to untangle the extensions. The braiding station will allow the stylist to separate the hair stands and hang them on multiple pegs. The pegs allow the hair to remain separated and easily accessible to the stylist. The stylist can preemptively prepare the hair extensions which allows them to attach them easily and quickly to the person's hair. It is often desirable for a stylist to display to the client in an organized manner the hair extensions the stylist will apply to the person's hair. The braiding station hair rack will allow the stylist to easily keep hair strands separated and organized.

It is therefore submitted that the invention has been shown and described in what is considered to be the most practical and preferred embodiments. It is to be appreciated that alternative embodiments of the generalized embodiment might include other modifications. While the above is a description of various embodiments of the present invention, further modifications may be employed without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. For example, the size, shape, and/or material of the various components may be changed as desired. Thus, the scope of the invention should not be limited by the specific structures disclosed. Instead, the true scope of the invention should be determined by the following claims.

Claims
