DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new vehicle brake device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6, the brake pedal pressure indication assembly and method 10 generally comprises a processor 12 being integrated within a vehicle 14. The vehicle 14 is configured for having a brake pedal 16 being able to apply a brake system 18 to reduce the speed of the vehicle 14. The processor 12 is a central processing unit having a pressure sensor 20. The pressure sensor 20 is in mechanical communication with the brake pedal 16 and is configured for recording the amount of force 22 applied to the brake pedal 16 from a foot of a driver.

The processor 12 is configured for determining the amount of force 22 applied to the pressure sensor 20 relative to a set of levels 24. The set of levels 24 further includes a low level tier 26, a high level tier 28, and a mid level tier 30. The low level tier 26 is configured for including the amount of force 22 applied being below a lower set force 32. The low lever tier 26 is configured for the processor 12 to emit a yellow color 34. The high level tier 28 is configured for including the amount of force 22 applied being above a higher set force 36. The high level tier 28 is configured for the processor 12 to emit a red color 38. The mid level tier 30 is configured for including the amount of force 22 applied being from the lower set force 32 to the higher set force 36. The mid level tier 30 is configured for the processor to emit an orange color 40.

A pair of brake lights 42 is in electric communication with the processor 12. The pair of brake lights 42 is configured for being positioned on a rear surface 44 of the vehicle 14. Each of the brake lights 42 is configured for illuminating when the amount of force 22 is applied to the brake pedal 16 wherein indicating the brake system 18 of the vehicle 14 is engaged. Each of the brake lights 42 has a bulb 46 having a color-changing capability 48. The color-changing capability 48 is configured for producing a variety of colors including the yellow color 34, the orange color 40, and the red color 38.

Furthermore, a strip 50 is in electric communication with the processor 12. The strip 50 is configured for being positioned on the rear surface 44 of the vehicle 14. The strip 50 has a plurality of light emitting diodes 52 being configured for illuminating when the amount of force 22 is applied to the brake pedal 16. The plurality of light emitting diodes 52 has the color-changing capability 48 wherein each of the light emitting diodes 52 can produce the yellow color 34, the orange color 40, and the red color 38.

In use, the driver of the vehicle 14 applies the amount of force 22 to the brake pedal 16 to engage the brake system 18 of the vehicle 14. When the user applies the amount of force 22 below the lower set force 32 upon the brake pedal 16 of the vehicle 14, then the processor 12 is configured for emitting the yellow light 34 from the pair of brake lights 42 and from the strip 50. Furthermore, when the user applies the amount of force 22 from the lower set force 32 to the higher set force 36 upon the brake pedal 16 of the vehicle 14, then the processor 12 is configured for emitting the orange light 40 from the pair of brake lights 42 and from the strip 50. Additionally, when the user applies the amount of force 22 above the higher set force 36 upon the brake pedal 16 of the vehicle 14, then the processor 12 is configured for emitting the red light 38 from the pair of brake lights 42 and from the strip 50.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
