Claims
- 1. A compound of formula (IV): wherein each substituent R1, which are the same or different from each other, is a hydrogen atom, a C1-C20 alkyl radical, a C3-C20 cycloalkyl radical, a C2-C20 alkenyl radical, a C7-C20 alkylaryl radical, or C7-C20 arylalkyl radicals, and optionally two adjacent substituents R1 can form a cycle comprising from 5 to 8 carbon atoms and, furthermore, substituents R1 can contain Si or Ge atoms; the E bridging group is selected from >CR32, >SiR32, or >GeR32, wherein each R3, same or different, is a C1-C20 alkyl radical, or the two R3 substituents can be joined to form a cycle comprising up to 8 atoms, at least 4 total carbon atoms being contained in the two R3 substituents.
- 2. The compound according to claim 1, selected from diethylbis(fluorenyl)silane, di(n-propyl)bis-(fluorenyl)silane, di(n-butyl)bis(fluorenyl)silane, methyl(n-hexyl)bis(fluorenyl)silane, methyl(n-octyl)bis(fluorenyl)silane, methyl(2-bicycloheptyl)bis-(fluorenyl)silane, methyl(3,3,3-trifluoropropyl)bis-(fluorenyl)silane, diethylbis(fluorenyl)germanium, diethylbis(1-methylfluorenyl)silane.
