The disclosure relates to belts and more particularly pertains to a new belt for comfortably holding up pants. The present invention discloses a dual belt assembly that cinches pants to the waist of the user.
The prior art relates to belts, and in particular to belts that attach to belt loops to cinch pants to a waist of a user. Such prior art belts may comprise short belts that loop around belt loops, rather than the waist of the user, and long belts that loop around belt loops and the waist. What is lacking in the prior art is a dual belt assembly wherein each belt attaches to two different loop to cinch pants to the waist of the user.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a first belt and a second belt. A plurality of fasteners is attached to a first end of the first belt, a second end of the first belt, a first terminus of the second belt, and a second terminus of the second belt so that at least one fastener is attached to each of the first end, the second end, the first terminus, and the second terminus. Each fastener is configured to be selectively fastened to a respective belt loop of a plurality of belt loops attached to a pair of pants. The first belt and the second belt each are configured to selectively shorten a distance between the belt loops to which associated fasteners are attached.
Another embodiment of the disclosure includes a buckleless dual belt system, which comprises a pair of pants to which is attached a plurality of belt loops. The buckleless dual belt system also comprises a buckleless dual belt assembly, as described in the disclosure above, which has been fitted to the pair of pants.
Yet another embodiment of the disclosure includes a method of tightening a pair of pants to a waist of a user. Provision steps of the method entail providing a pair of pants having a plurality of belt loops a buckleless dual belt assembly, according to the disclosure above. Operational steps of the method entail attaching the fasteners attached to the first end of the first belt and the first terminus of the second belt singly to the pair of the belt loops bracketing the front opening, extending the first belt around the back of the user through respective belt loops to the respective belt loop positioned over the opposed hip of the user, and attaching the fastener attached to the second end of the first belt to the respective belt loop positioned over the opposed hip of the user.
Additional operational steps of the method are extending the second belt around the back of the user through respective belt loops, substantially overlaying the first belt, to the respective belt loop positioned over the opposed hip of the user, and attaching the fastener attached to the second terminus of the second belt to the respective belt loop positioned over the opposed hip of the user so that the second end of the first belt and the second terminus of the second belt are opposingly positioned on the hips of the user. A use step of the method is donning the pair of pants.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
Each fastener 16 is configured to be selectively fastened to a respective belt loop 28 of a plurality of belt loops 28 attached to a pair of pants 30. The first belt 12 and the second belt 14 each are configured to selectively shorten a distance 32 between the belt loops 28 to which associated fasteners 16 are attached. In the context of this specification, associated fasteners 16 should be interpreted as the two fasteners 16 attached to the first belt 12 or the two fasteners attached to the second belt 14.
As shown in
The present invention anticipates a buckleless dual belt system 38, which comprises a pair of pants 30 to which is attached a plurality of belt loops 28. The buckleless dual belt system 38 also comprises a buckleless dual belt assembly 10, as described in the specification above, which has been fitted to the pair of pants 30.
In use, the buckleless dual belt assembly 10 enables a method of tightening a pair of pants to a waist of a user 40. The method 40 comprises a first provision step 42, which entails providing a pair of pants 30 having a plurality of belt loops 28. A second provision step 44 of the method 40 is providing a buckleless dual belt assembly 10, according to the specification above. A first operational step 46 of the method 40 is attaching the fasteners 16 attached to the first end 18 of the first belt 12 and the first terminus 22 of the second belt 14 singly to the pair 34 of the belt loops 28 bracketing the front opening 36. A second operational step 48 of the method 40 is extending the first belt 12 around the back of the user through respective belt loops 28 to the respective belt loop 28 positioned over the opposed hip of the user. A third operational step 50 of the method 40 is attaching the fastener 16 attached to the second end 20 of the first belt 12 to the respective belt loop 28 positioned over the opposed hip of the user.
A fourth operational step 52 of the method 40 is extending the second belt 14 around the back of the user through respective belt loops 28, substantially overlaying the first belt 12, to the respective belt loop 28 positioned over the opposed hip of the user. A fifth operational step 54 of the method 40 is attaching the fastener 16 attached to the second terminus 24 of the second belt 14 to the respective belt loop 28 positioned over the opposed hip of the user so that the second end 20 of the first belt 12 and the second terminus 24 of the second belt 14 are opposingly positioned on the hips of the user upon donning of the pair of pants 30.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
