Claims
- 1. A low heat generating buffing tool comprising a light weight non-woven fabric having a tensile strength in excess of 650 N/50 mm according to DIN 29073/3.
- 2. A buffing tool as set forth in claim 1 wherein the fabric has a machine direction and a cross direction, and has a tensile strength in excess of 700 N/50 mm in the machine direction and in excess of 650 N/50 mm in the cross direction according to said DIN.
- 3. A buffing tool as set forth in claim 2 wherein said fabric has a tensile strength in the machine direction of at least 1,000 N/50 mm and in excess of 900 N/50 mm in the cross direction according to said DIN.
- 4. A buffing tool as set forth in claim 1 wherein said buffing tool is a wheel and has a fabric weight loss of less than ten (10) percent when run at a surface speed of about 5,000 feet per minute for two hours.
- 5. A buffing tool as set forth in claim 1 wherein said buffing tool is a wheel having a diameter, and has a diameter loss of less than one inch when run at a surface speed of about 5,000 feet per minute for two hours.
- 6. Buffing tool as set forth in claim 5 wherein said tool has a diameter loss of less than one half inch when run at said speed for said duration.
