Claims
- 1. A barrier comprising:
a. a base composed of a first bullet resistant material comprising a first wall and second and third walls extending from and held in spaced relation by said first wall; and b. an upper wall composed of a second bullet resistant material interconnected to said first wall of said base unit.
- 2. The barrier of claim 1, further comprising a bracket attached to said base unit and in which said upper wall is removably positioned.
- 3. The barrier of claim 2, wherein said bracket comprises a first channel extending along a first longitudinal axis, and second and third channels extending along parallel second and third axes, respectively, that are essentially perpendicular to said first longitudinal axis.
- 4. The barrier of claim 3, wherein said first channel is removably interconnected to said first wall of said base unit.
- 5. The barrier of claim 1, further comprising first and second casters attached to said base unit.
- 6. The barrier of claim 5, further comprising third and fourth casters interconnected to and pivotally movable with respect to said base unit, whereby said third and fourth casters are movable into and out of engagement with the ground.
- 7. The barrier of claim 1, wherein said upper wall is transparent.
- 8. The barrier of claim 1, wherein said base unit is composed of a bullet resistant material such as metal, plastic, ceramic or a composite material.
- 9. The barrier of claim 1, wherein said upper wall is composed of a bullet resistant plastic or glass.
- 10. The barrier of claim 1, further comprising first and second handles attached to said second and third walls, respectively, of said base unit.
