- wherein said elongate rear portion, said bottom portion, and said elongate front portion define a cavity for retaining one or more planar objects therein.
- 2. The mail holder of claim 1, wherein said elongate front portion comprises a gradually curving clip biased to provide a slight clamping force towards said elongate rear portion to retain the planar objects in said cavity.
- 3. The mail holder of claim 1, wherein said retaining grip comprises a flexible, resilient material.
- 4. The mail holder of claim 1, wherein said retaining grip, said elongate rear portion, said bottom portion, and said elongate front portion are integrally formed together.
- 5. The mail holder of claim 1, wherein said retaining grip, said elongate rear portion, said bottom portion, and said elongate front portion comprise plastic.
- 6. The mail holder of claim 1, wherein said retaining grip has a substantially "C" shape for detachably engaging the edge of the message board.
- 7. The mail holder of claim 1, wherein the message board includes front and rear channels extending along the edge of the message board, and wherein said retaining grip comprises front and rear portions for detachably engaging the front and rear channels.
- 8. The mail holder of claim 7, wherein said front and rear portions of said retaining grip include a lip and a tip extension for engaging the front and rear channels formed in a frame extending along the edge of the message board.
- 9. The mail holder of claim 1, wherein said base portion includes front and rear channels for receiving a retaining grip on a message board accessory.
- 10. The mail holder of claim 9, wherein the message board accessory comprises a second mail holder having a retaining grip thereon.
- 11. The mail holder of claim 1, wherein said bottom portion includes a plurality of waves formed therein.
- 12. A mail holder comprising:
- a base portion having front and rear edges,
- a rear portion formed integrally with and extending substantially perpendicularly from said rear edge of said base portion, and
- a front clip portion formed integrally with and extending substantially perpendicularly from said front edge of said base portion, said front clip portion being biased to provide a slight clamping force towards said rear portion to retain a planar object between said front clip portion and said rear portion.
- 13. The mail holder of claim 12, wherein said rear portion is substantially flat and said front clip portion is curved towards said rear portion as it extends away from said base portion.
- 14. The mail holder of claim 12, further comprising a retaining grip formed integrally with said rear portion, said grip being attachable to a fixed member.
- 15. The mail holder of claim 14, wherein said retaining grip comprises a flexible, resilient material.
- 16. The mail holder of claim 14, wherein said retaining grip has a substantially "C" shape for detachably engaging an edge of a message board.
- 17. The mail holder of claim 16, wherein the message board includes front and rear channels extending along the edge of the message board, and wherein said retaining grip comprises front and rear portions for detachably engaging the front and rear channels, respectively.
- 18. The mail holder of claim 12, wherein said base portion comprises front and rear channels for receiving a retaining grip on a message board accessory.
- 19. The mail holder of claim 18, further comprising a second mail holder having a retaining grip thereon, said retaining grip being attachable to said front and rear channels of said base portion.
- 20. A mail holder comprising:
- a base portion having front and rear edges, said base portion having one or more waves formed therein extending generally parallel to said front and rear edges,
- an elongate front portion formed integrally with and extending substantially perpendicularly from said front edge of said base portion, and
- an elongate rear portion formed integrally with and extending substantially perpendicularly from said rear edge of said base portion,
- wherein said base, front, and rear portions together define a cavity for retaining a generally planar object therewithin.
- 21. The mail holder of claim 20, wherein said base, front and rear portions define a cavity having a generally triangular cross-sectional shape.
- 22. The mail holder of claim 20, wherein said front and rear portions are biased towards one another opposite said base portion to provide a slight clamping force for retaining the planar object in said cavity.
- 23. The mail holder of claim 20, wherein said rear portion is substantially flat and said front portion is curved towards said rear portion as it extends away from said base portion.
- 24. The mail holder of claim 20, further comprising a retaining grip formed integrally with said rear portion, said grip being attachable to a fixed member.
- 25. The mail holder of claim 24, wherein said retaining grip comprises a flexible, resilient material.
- 26. The mail holder of claim 24, wherein said retaining grip has a substantially "C" shape for detachably engaging an edge of a message board.
- 27. The mail holder of claim 26, wherein the message board includes front and rear channels extending along the edge of the message board, and wherein said retaining grip comprises front and rear portions for detachably engaging the front and rear channels, respectively.
