Claims
- 1. A notepad holder comprising:
- a generally flat base,
- a first member formed integrally with and extending substantially perpendicular to a first end of said base, and
- a flexible second member formed integrally with and extending substantially perpendicular to a second end of said base, said second member being opposed to said first member,
- wherein said first member and said second member are separated by a distance sufficient to enable said base, said first member, and said second member to receive an appropriately sized object therewithin, the object being retained by a flexing between said flexible second member and said first member.
- 2. The notepad holder of claim 1, wherein said object is a pad of sheets of paper.
- 3. The notepad holder of claim 1, wherein at least one of said first member and said second member has a plurality of raised beads on a surface thereof.
- 4. The notepad holder of claim 1, further comprising a retaining grip formed integrally with said first member, said retaining grip having a substantially "C" shape for attaching to a fixed member.
- 5. The notepad holder of claim 1, further comprising an insert of flexible material attached to said second member.
- 6. The notepad holder of claim 5, wherein said insert is of a foam material.
- 7. The notepad holder of claim 5, wherein said second member and said base define a channel adapted to receive and retain said insert.
- 8. The notepad holder of claim 4, wherein said retaining grip is attachable to a frame of a message board.
- 9. The notepad holder of claim 4, wherein said retaining grip is attachable to front and rear channels of a fixed strip extending along an edge of the fixed member.
- 10. The notepad holder of claim 4, wherein said retaining grip includes a lip and a tip extension adapted to engage a front channel and a rearwardly extending corner extending along a fixed strip of the fixed member to which said retaining grip is attached.
- 11. A notepad holder comprising:
- a body having a generally flat member and a first side formed integrally with a first end of said member and a flexible second side formed integrally with a second end of said member, and
- a pad of sheets of paper retained on said body by a force applied upon said pad of sheets of paper by a relative flexing of said first side and said flexible second side of said body.
- 12. The notepad holder of claim 11, wherein the first side and the second side each extends generally perpendicularly from a plane described by said generally flat member.
- 13. The notepad holder of claim 12, wherein at least one of the first side and the second side further comprises a flap portion which extends generally toward said member.
- 14. The notepad holder of claim 13, wherein said flap portion has a plurality of raised beads.
- 15. The notepad holder of claim 12, further comprising a channel defined by the generally flat member and at least one of the first side and the second side of said body.
- 16. The notepad holder of claim 15, further comprising an insert of flexible material retained in said channel.
- 17. The notepad holder of claim 11, further comprising a retaining grip formed integrally with said body, said retaining grip having a shape for engaging an edge of a fixed member to thereby attach said notepad holder to the fixed member.
- 18. The notepad holder of claim 17, wherein said retaining grip is attachable to front and rear channels of a fixed strip extending along the edge of the fixed member.
- 19. The notepad holder of claim 17, wherein said retaining grip includes a lip and a tip extension adapted to engage a front channel and a rearwardly extending corner extending along a fixed strip of the fixed member.
- 20. A notepad holder for a message board, comprising:
- a retaining grip detachably mountable to an edge of a message board, said retaining grip including a substantially flat portion,
- an elongate base portion extending from said retaining grip substantially perpendicularly to said substantially flat portion, and
- a bottom portion extending substantially perpendicularly from said elongate base portion, said bottom portion opposing said substantially flat portion, thereby defining a cavity and a distance across said cavity between said bottom portion and said substantially flat portion for retaining an appropriately sized object therebetween.
- 21. The notepad holder of claim 20, wherein said bottom portion is flexible to provide a clamping force towards said substantially flat portion when the object is received between said bottom portion and said substantially flat portion.
- 22. The notepad holder of claim 20, wherein said retaining grip, said base portion, and said bottom portion are integrally molded together.
- 23. The notepad holder of claim 20, wherein said retaining grip has a substantially "C" shape for detachably engaging the edge of the message board.
- 24. The notepad holder of claim 20, wherein the message board includes front and rear channels extending along the edge of the message board, and wherein said retaining grip comprises front and rear portions for detachably engaging the front and rear channels.
- 25. The notepad holder of claim 20, wherein at least one of said substantially flat portion and said bottom portion comprises a flexible flap portion extending within said cavity generally towards said elongate base portion.
- 26. The notepad holder of claim 20, further comprising a pad of sheets of paper retained in said cavity between said substantially flat portion and said bottom portion.
- 27. A notepad holder, comprising:
- a generally flat base portion having first and second ends,
- a first member formed integrally with and extending substantially perpendicular to said first end,
- a second member formed integrally with and extending substantially perpendicular to said second end, said second member being opposed to said first member to define a cavity between said first and second members,
- a pad of sheets of paper received in said cavity, individual sheets of said pad extending substantially parallel to said base portion, and
- a flexible portion on said second member for retaining said pad of sheets of paper in said cavity between said first and second members by a friction force.
- 28. The notepad holder of claim 27, wherein said flexible portion comprises a flap portion extending from said second member within said cavity towards said base portion.
- 29. The notepad holder of claim 27, wherein said flexible portion comprises an insert retained on said second member.
- 30. The notepad holder of claim 22, further comprising a retaining grip formed integrally with one of said first and second members, said retaining grip having a shape for engaging an edge of a message board to thereby attach said notepad holder to the message board.
