Claims
- 1. A releasable tie, comprising:
at least one elongated strand of flexible material; a first set of three dimensional beads formed on the strand and spaced apart along a first length of the strand; a second set of three dimensional beads formed on the strand and spaced apart along a second length of the strand; a tab formed along the strand and including a first locking slot shaped to releasably receive the first length of the strand and to interlock with one of the beads of the first set, and a second locking slot shaped to releasably receive the second length of the strand and to interlock with one of the beads of the second set.
- 2. The releasable tie of claim 1 wherein the first and second sets of beads are integral with the elongated strand.
- 3. The releasable tie of claim 1 wherein the beads of the first set are spaced apart by distances less than spacing of beads of the second set.
- 4. The releasable tie of claim 1 wherein the tab is integral with the strand.
- 5. The releasable tie of claim 1 wherein the beads of the first and second sets and the tab are integral with the strand.
- 6. The releasable tie of claim 1 wherein the strand includes opposed ends and wherein the tab is formed at one of said ends.
- 7. The releasable tie of claim 1 wherein the strand includes opposed ends and wherein the tab is formed at one of said ends and the second set of beads extends to a remaining one of said ends.
- 8. The releasable tie of claim 1 wherein the at least one of locking slots includes an enlarged opening at least equal in size to any one of the beads, and an adjoining reduced opening of approximate size of the strand in cross-section, and a necked down section between the enlarged opening and reduced opening, of a lesser dimension than the strand in cross-section to form a snap fit with the strand.
- 9. The releasable tie of claim 1, further comprising an accessory mounting section formed along the strand and spaced from the tab.
- 10. The releasable tie of claim 1 further comprising an accessory mounting section including two spaced apertures, at least one aperture of which includes at least one latching tongue member adjoining said at least one aperture.
- 11. The releasable tie of claim 1 wherein the beads of both sets are integral with the strand and further comprising fillets joining the beads and strand.
- 12. The releasable tie of claim 11 wherein the strand is substantially circular in cross-section.
- 13. The releasable tie of claim 1 wherein the strand is substantially circular in cross-section.
- 14. The releasable tie of claim 1 further comprising a hanger hole formed in the tab.
- 15. The releasable tie of claim 1 further comprising a handle section formed along the strand.
- 16. The releasable tie of claim 1 further comprising a handle section joined to the tab.
- 17. The releasable tie of claim 16 wherein the handle is integral with the strand.
- 18. The releasable tie of claim 1 wherein the first locking slot is positioned adjacent the first set of beads.
- 19. The releasable tie of claim 1 wherein the first and second sets of beads are spaced along the strand to one side of the tab.
- 20. The releasable tie of claim 1 wherein the strand, beads, and tab are integral and formed of a flexible plastic.
