The disclosure relates to holder devices and more particularly pertains to a new holder device for holding a beverage container in a pool noodle. The device includes a pool noodle that has a well extending into an end of the pool noodle to define a beverage holder. A beverage container can be inserted into the beverage holder while a user straddles the pool noodle. In this way the end of the pool noodle extends outwardly from water in which the user is floating thereby facilitating the beverage container to be accessible to the user.
The prior art relates to holder devices including a variety of floating beverage containers that includes a sleeve for insertably receiving a beverage container and a ring extending around the cylinder for stabilizing the sleeve while floating in water. The prior art discloses a pool noodle which has a beverage container integrated into the pool noodle and a drinking tube that extends away from the pool noodle for facilitating a user to drink a beverage in the beverage container. The prior art discloses a beverage holder that is insertable into an annular end of a pool noodle for holding a beverage and a lid which locks onto the beverage holder.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a pool noodle is comprised of a buoyant material wherein the pool noodle is configured to facilitate a user to float on the pool noodle in a body of water. the pool noodle has a beverage holder is integrated into the pool noodle wherein the beverage holder is configured to hold a beverage container for the user when the user is floating on the pool noodle.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
The pool noodle 12 has a first end 22, a second end 24 and an outer surface 26 extending between the first end 22 and the second end 24. The outer surface 26 is continuously arcuate about an axis extending between the first end 22 and the second end 24 such that the pool noodle 12 has a cylindrical shape. Additionally, the first end 22 has a well 28 extending toward the second end 24 such that the well 28 defines the beverage holder 18 and the well 28 has a bounding surface 30. The pool noodle 12 has a plurality of drain apertures 32 each extending through the outer surface 26 and the bounding surface 30 of the well 28 to facilitate fluid to drain outwardly from the well 28.
The pool noodle 12 is comprised of a flexible material such that the pool noodle 12 is bendable into a U-shape when the user 14 sits on the pool noodle 12. In this way each of the first end 22 and the second end 24 extend upwardly from the body of water 16 when the user 14 floats on the pool noodle 12. Thus, the beverage container 20 is positioned above the body of water 16 when the beverage container 20 is positioned in the beverage holder 18 and the user 14 sits on the pool noodle 12. The pool noodle 12 may have a length of at least 48.0 inches and the pool noodle 12 may have a diameter of at least 4.0 inches. The well 28 may have a diameter of at least 3.0 inches thereby facilitating the well 28 to accommodate the diameter of a beer can, for example, or other aluminum cans employed for storing beverages.
In use, the user 14 straddles the pool noodle 12 when the user 14 is swimming in the body of water 16 such that each of the first end 22 and the second end 24 of the pool noodle 12 is exposed with respect to the body of water 16. In this way the user 14 can place their beverage container 20 into the beverage holder 18 that is integrated into the pool noodle 12. In this way the user 14 can enjoy floating in the body of water 16 without worrying about holding their beverage container 20.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
