Abstract

A cigarette holder in the shape of a hollow cylinder, one end of the cylinder being open (top), the other being close (bottom). The dimensions of the cylinder are approximately 17-20 cm in Length, and 10 cm in Diameter. Going the distance of the cylinder, and centered is a wire. The wire is attached to the inside of the bottom base and protruding up to the opening of the cylinder. Stopping short of the opening of the cylinder by between 10 cm and 1 mm. It is this wire that penetrates the butt or filter (if a filter cigarette is being consumed). The wire inside and the cylinder on the outside of the butt are what hold the cigarette in place. Attachment means of some sort are connected to the outside of the bottom. The attachment might me an adhesive of some sort, or Velcro, snap(s), suction, or by weight and gravity means. There may be a second cylinder added to the outside of the first cylinder solely for aesthetic and/or ornamental value. Obviously the second cylinder would also add extra flame resistant as well.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] This invention relates to a Cigarette holder that allows people to place their cigarette wherever they want. If used properly it also makes fire due to forgotten or left behind cigarettes very unlikely, if not impossible.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0003] I was tired of cigarettes falling out of an ashtray. Causing burn marks and holes in tables, things on tables and floors and rugs. Not only did they ruin things; they caused a great fire risk. This cigarette holder was invented to stop that and to be utilized whenever a cigarette needs to be held when not being consumed. A cigarette holder comprising of a hollow cylinder with one open end and one closed end. As well as having a wire centered and running the length of the cylinder attached to the inside of the closed cylinder end, is used to hold a cigarette while not being held. On the bottom of the outside of the cylinder is a means of attachment. The cylinder may be attached to most any surface by way of adhesive, suction, Velcro, strap or by means of weight and gravity. The cigarette holder can be used at home, in vehicles, watercraft, golf carts and bags. Where it can be placed is virtually unlimited. The Cigarette holder is flame resistant and washable. The cigarette is placed butt (filter or otherwise) down into the open end of the cylinder. When it is, the butt (filter or otherwise) is penetrated by the protruding wire. Thus, the cigarette is held in place by the wire penetration and the cylinder around it.

Claims

1. A Cigarette holder comprising of a hollow cylinder housing. One end of the cylinder is open; the other end is closed. Inside of said cylinder attached to the inside of the closed end, centered and extending the length of said cylinder is a wire.

2. The Cigarette holder in said claim 1 furthermore can be attached to most any surface by means of adhesive, Velcro, snaps, suction or weight and gravity.

3. The Cigarette holder in said claim 1 will be constructed of one or a combination of materials. Hard Plastics, Woods, Ceramic, Metal or some other resilient, flame resistant, sturdy material may be utilized.
