The invention relates to a piece of case furniture comprising at least one furniture front, a set-back recessed handle in the form of a profiled element arranged on the rear side of the furniture front, which faces away from the front side of the furniture front, being arranged behind the furniture front, the main longitudinal extension direction of which extends in parallel with or perpendicularly to the plane of the base.
In the context of handleless kitchens in particular, recessed handles have been known for some time, which provide a gripping space behind the furniture fronts such that a user can grasp the region of the narrow side of the furniture front with his hand and can grip behind the furniture front on the rear side. In order to form such recessed handles, profiled elements are generally attached behind the furniture fronts, which form the end of the gripping space at the back such that it is not possible to see into the piece of case furniture from the front. In corresponding recessed handles, there are an increasing number of lighting possibilities for illuminating the region of the recessed handle in particular; this not only means that the recessed handle is visually easy to detect in the dark, but an advantageous creative optical effect can also be achieved by correspondingly illuminating said handle. It is known to use profiled elements having an L-shaped cross section in particular and directly beneath the worktop of a piece of kitchen furniture, the short limb of the L shape generally facing the rear side of a furniture front with its free end, while the vertical limb runs up to the lower side of the worktop. A lighting element can then be provided in the region between the worktop and the vertical limb of the L shape in order to illuminate the recessed handle formed by the L profile.
A corresponding procedure is then no longer possible if recessed handles are intended to be formed between two furniture fronts. On the one hand, therein lies the problem that a lower side, as in the worktop, for attaching a light is then generally not provided, and, on the other hand, a light provided behind the front in the recessed handle would prevent an adjoining furniture front from being grasped from the rear side in any case and would block the gripping space in this respect.
The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a piece of case furniture of the type mentioned at the outset, which avoids the above-described disadvantages.
This object is achieved by a piece of case furniture having at least one furniture front, a set-back recessed handle in the form of a profiled element arranged on the rear side of the furniture front, which faces away from the front side of the furniture front, being arranged behind the furniture front, the main longitudinal extension direction of which extends in parallel with or perpendicularly to the plane of the base, characterized in that the profiled element has a substantially C-shaped or U-shaped cross section transversely to the main longitudinal extension direction, lateral portions that do not lie in the plane of the base being attached to either side of the base of the profiled element and forming the lateral limbs of the C- or U-shaped cross section, an insert profile being arranged on the inner side of the profiled element so as to be adjacent to at least one of the lateral portions, in which insert profile a lighting device is or can be received. Advantageous embodiments can be found in the dependent claims.
The basic principle of the invention is to place a C-shaped or U-shaped profiled element behind the furniture fronts, which forms the recessed handle. In this way, an insert profile that receives a lighting device, for example an LED tape or the like, can be inserted into said profile, specifically preferably on or in the region of one of the two limbs of the corresponding profiled element. In this way, the lighting device can be arranged such that it cannot be seen from the front. Furthermore, forming the profiled element as a U or C profile is advantageous in that it can be used universally, both in the handle region between two fronts and between one front and the worktop of a piece of kitchen furniture. In this case, the main longitudinal extension direction of the profiled element can be both horizontal and vertical.
For this purpose, the piece of case furniture according to the invention comprises at least one furniture front, behind which a set-back recessed handle in the form of a profiled element arranged on the rear side of the furniture front, which faces away from the front side of the furniture front, is arranged. As mentioned, the main longitudinal extension direction extends in parallel with or perpendicularly to the plane of the base. In this case, the profiled element has a substantially C-shaped or U-shaped cross section transversely to the main longitudinal extension direction. Lateral portions that to do not lie in the plane of the base are attached to either side of the base of the profiled element and form the lateral limbs of the C- or U-shaped cross section. According to the invention, an insert profile is arranged on the inner side of the profiled element so as to be adjacent to at least one of the lateral portions, in which insert profile a lighting device is or can be received.
The profiled element therefore offers a number of advantages over known solutions, in particular it can be attached to different points of the piece of case furniture; only one profiled element is therefore required to place a corresponding insert profile for lighting means in the region of the recessed handle.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the insert profile comprises a set-back portion on the side that faces the inner side of the at least one furniture front. This set-back portion makes it possible to grip behind the furniture front arranged in front of said portion, without the insert profile blocking the entry region. In this case, the set-back portion can be formed as a bevel that extends away from the inner side of the furniture front. In this way, the user's finger would be guided into the handle region when gripping behind the furniture front. The set-back portion can form an angle (α) in particular with the inner side of the furniture front that is preferably approximately 45°, other angles also being possible.
For aesthetic reasons, a curved transition region can be provided between the base and a lateral portion of the profiled element. Of course, angular transition regions may also be provided.
According to another embodiment of the invention, the insert profile interlockingly rests against the profiled element, at least in portions. As a result of the positive fit, it is easier to mount the insert profile in the profiled element and a secure hold, for example by means of bonding, is also ensured by means of positive-fit surfaces. In addition, in this way the power supply to the lighting device can be guided very easily out of the insert profile, through a through-opening in the rear wall, and into the carcass of the piece of furniture.
The insert profile is preferably a hollow profile that surrounds a receiving space, at least in part. A lighting device can be housed in this receiving space, this can be an LED tape, for example; other lighting means are, of course, also conceivable depending on the size of the receiving space.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, the insert profile can comprise an opening that is sealed by a sealing element, at least parts of which are in particular transparent. The opening is used to introduce the lighting device, and said opening can also be used as an emission opening for the lighting device when parts of the sealing element are transparent. Of course, other parts of the insert profile may also be transparent.
In this case, a reflector portion for reflecting light emitted by the lighting device can be provided in particular on the sealing element. In this way, the emission pattern, which is sometimes rather punctiform, of the lighting device can be homogenized into the receiving space.
A transparent emission portion can preferably also be provided in particular on the sealing element and is designed to emit the light emitted by the lighting device out of the insert profile.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, the reflector portion is advantageously arranged such that the light emitted by the lighting device is reflected in the direction of the transparent emission portion by the reflector portion. This optimizes the illumination of the recessed handle.
The profiled element according to the invention can be used universally. It can therefore be arranged in the region of two adjoining narrow sides of furniture fronts or in the region of the narrow side of one furniture front and an adjoining worktop or sidewall of the piece of case furniture. The position of the insert profile can then also be correspondingly selected in accordance with the position of said profiled element.
The insert profile comprising the lighting device can also be concealed by the profiled element according to the invention behind the furniture front such that it is not visible from the outside. For this purpose, the side of the insert profile that faces the center of the profiled element can in particular be set back with respect to the narrow side of the furniture front that is closest to the insert profile. The size of the set-back can be a few millimeters. As a result, the insert profile is concealed, at least in part, by the closest furniture front when the piece of case furniture is viewed from the front.
The invention will be explained in more detail in the following on the basis of an embodiment, in which:
In the sectional view shown in
In
A reflector element 52 is provided on the inner side of the insert profile 5 so as to rest against the portions 53 and 55, and is preferably integrally formed with the sealing element 51 in the example shown. Of course, it can also separately rest against the inner wall of the insert profile 5 or be formed together therewith. The reflector element 52 reflects the light generated by the lighting device and reflects it at least in the direction of the transparent sealing element 51 such that the light reflected in this way is shone into the recessed handle of the profiled element.
The projection 58, which holds the sealing element 51, is provided at the end of a set-back portion 54 that extends at an angle. This portion comprises a bevel on its outer side, which forms an angle a together with the rear side of the furniture front 1 (see FIG. 2); shown in
Of course, it is not only possible to attach the insert profile according to the invention in the profiled element to the upper side, as shown in this case, but alternatively or in addition to the opposite side, i.e. to the limb of the profiled element 3 that is opposite the limb 31, 32. The insert profile 5 is preferably bonded to the profiled element 3. Other fastening possibilities, such as screwing or latching, are likewise conceivable.
Even if a progression that is horizontal with respect to the main longitudinal extension of the profiled element 3 is depicted in the example shown, it is, of course, therefore also possible in said piece of case furniture or in other pieces of case furniture to select a profiled arrangement in which the main longitudinal extension of the profiled element 3 extends in the vertical direction, i.e. perpendicularly to the plane of the base.
