The present invention relates to a cabinet for office work suitable for use to store various kinds of articles such as documents and lay a laptop or tablet type computer thereon, and specifically relates to a cabinet suitable for use in a consultation room of a hospital and a dental clinic.
Conventionally, there is a cabinet for office work used to store various kinds of articles such as documents, for example, as disclosed in Patent Documents 1 and 2. This kind of cabinet is formed in a box shape as a whole, including storable drawers inside and a top board on which the articles can be laid. In addition, casters attached on a bottom surface enables easy displacement of the cabinet without lifting.
When in use, on one hand, if the above-described cabinet has a wider top board for laying the articles, the usability of the cabinet improves as more documents can be laid thereon. When not in use, on the other hand, the smaller an outer width dimension and overall depth of the cabinet is, the more suitable the cabinet is as the cabinet never needs to occupy larger space.
Further, the above-described cabinet may be used in a consultation room of medical institutions such as a hospital and a dental clinic. In this case, the cabinet is used also for laying and operating a laptop or tablet type computer and a mouse thereon other than for storing documents such as medical charts. Under such circumstances, it is desirable from the hygienic point of view to store the articles in an isolated place in the consultation room except for the case of using this tablet type and other computer, etc. so that no liquid spray easily splashes thereover.
Therefore, in the conventional cabinet, these tablet type and other computers, etc. stored in the drawer when not in use need to be taken out from the drawer and then laid on the top board of the cabinet when in use. However, it is annoying and inefficient to take in and out the computer from the drawer each time when in use.
[Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Laid-Open Publication No. 2003-111621
[Patent Document 2] Japanese Patent Laid-Open Publication No. 2003-9967
The present invention was made in view of above-mentioned point, and the purpose is to provide a cabinet that can effectively use space on a top board when in use, minimize an outer width dimension and overall depth thereof when not in use, and improve convenience of the operation of a tablet type computer and other devices.
In order to solve the above-described problems, a cabinet (1) as one embodiment in accordance with the present invention includes a top board (2) formed into a rectangular flat plate shape, a first side board (3A) and a second side board (3B) formed into a flat plate shape that are fixed to a bottom surface of or near both sides (2a, 2b) of the top board (2) and extend in the downward direction, and one or a plurality of drawers (11-16) formed in a box shape having an opening at an upper part that are slidable under the top board (2) between a storage position between the first side board (3A) and the second side board (3B) where the drawers are stored and a drawing position where the drawers are drawn forward from the storage position. The cabinet (1) includes a tray (20) formed into a rectangular flat plate shape slidable between the storage position and the drawing position under the top board (2) and above the one or the plurality of drawers (11-16), and space (S) formed between the top board (2) and the tray (20). The cabinet (1) also includes a first extension board (5) and a second extension board (6) turnably attached respectively to both sides (2a, 2b) of the top board (2). The first extension board (5) and the second extension board (6) are turnable between a closed position where the first and second extension boards (5, 6) overlap a top surface of the top board (2) and an open position where the first and second extension boards (5, 6) are opened sideways respectively from left and right sides of the top board (2). And at the open position, a top surface (2c) of the top board (2) and top surfaces (5c, 6c) respectively of the first extension board (5) and the second extension board (6) are characteristically arranged on a same plane.
Moreover, a cabinet (1, 1-2) as another embodiment in accordance with the present invention includes a top board (2) formed into a rectangular flat plate shape, a first side board (3A) and a second side board (3B) formed into a flat plate shape that are fixed to a bottom surface of or near both sides (2a, 2b) of the top board (2) and extend in the downward direction, and one or a plurality of drawers (11-16) formed in a box shape having an opening at an upper part that are slidable under the top board (2) between a storage position between the first side board (3A) and the second side board (3B) where the drawers (11-16) are stored and a drawing position where the drawers (11-16) are drawn forward from the storage position. The cabinet (1, 1-2) characteristically includes a tray (20) formed into a rectangular flat plate that is slidable between the storage position and the drawing position under the top board (2) and above the one or the plurality of drawers (11-16), and space (S) formed between the top board (2) and the tray (20).
The cabinet in accordance with the present invention includes the first extension board and the second extension board turnably attached respectively to both sides (namely, both side surfaces) of the top board. These first extension board and second extension board are turnable between the closed position where the first and second extension boards overlap the top surface of the top board and the open position where the first and second extension boards are opened sideways from the left and right sides of the top board. When in use of the cabinet, on one hand, the first extension board and the second extension boards are arranged at the open position where the top surface of the top board and the top surfaces respectively of the first and second extension boards are arranged on the same plane, whereby the top surface of the top board can be effectively used in such a state as to be expanded in width. When not in use of the cabinet, on the other hand, the first and second extension boards are arranged at the closed position where an outer width dimension of the top board can be minimized, whereby the cabinet never needs to occupy large space. In this manner, the cabinet can achieve both convenience when in use and storability when not in use.
In addition, the cabinet in accordance with the present invention includes the tray slidable between the storage position and the drawing position, and the space formed between the tray and the top board. This enables easy taking in and out and operation of articles such as a tablet type computer. In other words, when arranging the tray at the storage position while the tablet type computer, etc. are laid thereon, on one hand, the tablet type computer, etc. can be stored in the space between the top board and the tray inside the cabinet. On the other hand, when drawing the tray forward and arranging it at the drawing position, the tablet type computer, etc. that were stored inside the cabinet can be taken out of the cabinet while being laid on the tray, and thus held as it is for operation. In this manner, the articles such as the tablet type computer can be stored and taken out for use only by moving the tray between the storage position and the drawing position.
Therefore, only the drawing in and out of the tray between the storage position and the drawing position enables the operation of the articles such as the tablet type computer while being laid on the cabinet when in use and the storage of the articles in an isolated place when not in use so that no liquid spray easily splashes thereover from the hygienic point of view, thereby achieving the cabinet suitable for use in a consultation room of a hospital and a dental clinic.
Furthermore, a cabinet (1-3) as another different embodiment in accordance with the present invention includes a top board (2) formed into a rectangular flat plate shape, a first side board (3A) and a second side board (3B) formed into a flat plate shape that are fixed to a bottom surface of or near both sides (2a, 2b) of the top board (2) and extend in the downward direction, and one or a plurality of drawers (11-16) formed in a box shape having an opening at an upper position that are slidable under the top board (2) between a storage position between the first side board (3A) and second side board (3B) where the drawers (11-16) are stored and a drawing position where the drawers (11-16) are drawn forward from the storage position. The cabinet (1-3) also includes a first extension board (5) and a second extension board (6) turnably attached respectively to both sides (2a, 2b) of the top board (2). The first extension board (5) and the second extension board (6) are turnable between a closed position where the first and second extension boards (5, 6) are arranged respectively along an outer surface of the first side board (3A) and an outer surface of the second side board (3B) and an open position where the first and second extension boards (5, 6) are opened sideways respectively from the left and right sides of the top board (2). At the open position, a top surface (2c) of the top board (2) and top surfaces respectively of the first extension board (5) and the second extension board (6) are characteristically arranged on a same plane.
The cabinet in accordance with the present invention includes the first extension board and the second extension board turnably attached respectively to both sides (namely, both side surfaces) of the top board. The first extension board and the second extension board are turnable between the closed position where the first and second extension boards are arranged respectively along the outer surface of the first side board and the outer surface of the second side board and the open position where the first and second extension boards are opened sideways respectively from the left and right sides of the top board. When in use of the cabinet, on one hand, the first and second extension boards are arranged at the open position where the top surface of the top board and the top surfaces respectively of the first extension board and the second extension board are arranged on the same plane, whereby the top surface of the top board can be effectively used in such a state as to be expanded in width. When not in use of the cabinet, on the other hand, the first and second extension boards are arranged at the closed position where an outer width dimension of the top board can be minimized, whereby the cabinet never needs to occupy large space. In this manner, the cabinet can achieve both convenience when in use and storability when not in use.
Furthermore, the cabinet (1, 1-2, 1-3) may include a baseplate (40) built over between a bottom end of the first side board (3A) and a bottom end of the second side board (3B), and a plurality of casters (41) attached to a bottom surface of the baseplate (40). In this manner, the plurality of the casters attached to the bottom surface of the baseplate enables easy displacement of the cabinet without lifting. Therefore, the cabinet can be used at a desirable place and stored easily at a desirable place.
Furthermore, the cabinet (1) may include a holder (50) on a surface of the first side board (3A) that can hold documents or files (F) filing the documents. The holder (50) is structured by one or a plurality of bent wire rods (51) fixed to the surface of the first side board (3A). In this manner, by providing the cabinet (1) with the holder that can hold the documents or the files filing the documents, the documents or the files can be held without storing in the drawer. This can improve the handling of the documents or the files needed to be held temporarily without storing, resulting in further improvement of the convenience of the cabinet.
Moreover, the cabinet (1-2) in accordance with the present invention may include a magnet holder (70) made of a metal sheet-like member attractable by a magnet and attached to the surface of the first side board (3A). The magnet holder enables a memo pad to be stuck with a magnet on the side surface of the cabinet and a magnet-equipped timer to be attached thereon. This leads to further improvement of the convenience of the cabinet.
It should be noted that the bracketed reference numerals are examples of the elements of the embodiments described later.
The cabinet in accordance with the present invention can effectively and widely use space on the top board when in use and minimize the outer width dimension and overall depth when not in use, thereby improving convenience of the operation of the tablet type computer and other devices.
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
In addition, the cabinet 1 includes a plurality of drawers 11-16 having body sections 11a-16a formed in a box shape having an opening at an upper part (namely, a top surface) and handles 11b-16b attached to a surface of a front side (namely, a front surface) of the body sections 11a-16a. The plurality of drawers 11-16 are slidable under the top board 2 between a storage position between the first side board 3A and the second side board 3B where the drawers 11-16 are stored and a drawing position where the drawers 11-16 are drawn forward from the storage position. It should be noted each of the figures shows the storage position where the drawers 11-16 are stored, but not the drawing position.
Furthermore, the cabinet 1 includes a tray 20 formed into a rectangular flat plate shape spreading horizontally. The tray 20 is arranged under the top board 2 and above the uppermost drawer 16 of the plurality of drawers 11-16, and slidable under the top board 2 between the storage position between the first side board 3A and the second side board 3B where the tray 20 is stored and the drawing position where the tray 20 is drawn forward from the storage position. The tray 20 includes a body section 20a formed into a flat plate shape spreading horizontally and a handle 20b provided on a surface of a front side (namely, a front surface) of the body section 20a. Space S is formed between a top surface 20c of the tray 20 and a bottom surface of the top board 2 so as to be storable of articles such as a tablet type computer P and a mouse M. For instance, this space S may be around eight to ten centimeters in dimension.
In addition, the cabinet 1 includes a left extension board (first extension board) 5 and a right extension board (second extension board) 6, of which a left side (namely, a left side surface) 5a and a right side (namely, a right side surface) 6a are turnably attached respectively to a left side (namely, a left side surface) 2a and a right side (namely, a right side surface) 2b of the top board 2 with a hinge 30. The left extension board 5 and the right extension board 6 are turnable with the hinge 30 as a supporting point between a closed position, as shown in
Furthermore, the cabinet 1 includes a baseplate 40 built over between a bottom end of the left side board 3A and a bottom end of the right side board 3B and casters 41 attached to four corners of a bottom surface of the baseplate 40. The baseplate 40 is a rectangular flat plate spreading horizontally in parallel with the top board 2.
Moreover, a clinical chart holder 50 that can hold a clinical chart F consisting of files, etc. filing documents is provided on a surface of the left side board 3A of the cabinet 1. The clinical chart holder 50 is structured by three metal wire rods 51 bent in a nearly U-shape fixed on the surface of the left side board 3A. Of the three wire rods 51, the upper two hold a side surface of the clinical chart F, and the lower one holds a bottom end of the clinical chart F. Accordingly, the three wire rods 51 can hold the clinical chart F on the surface of the left side board 3A just by inserting the clinical chart F from above the three wire rods 51.
Thus, the cabinet 1 of this embodiment includes the left extension board (first extension board) 5 and the right extension board (second extension board) 6 turnably attached respectively to both sides 2a, 2b of the top board 2. The left extension board 5 and the right extension board 6 are turnable between the open position where the left and right extension boards 5, 6 overlap the top surface 2c of the top board 2 and the closed position where the left and right extension boards 5, 6 are opened sideways respectively from the left and right sides of the top board 2. At the open position, the top surface 2c of the top board 2 and the top surfaces 5c, 6c respectively of the left extension board 5 and the right extension board 6 are arranged on the same plane. When in use of the cabinet 1, on one hand, the left and right extension boards 5, 6 are arranged at the open position, whereby the top surface 2c of the top board 2 can be effectively used in such a state as to be expanded in width. When not in use of the cabinet 1, on the other hand, the left and right extension boards 5, 6 are arranged at the closed position where the outer width dimension of the top board 2 can be minimized, whereby the cabinet 1 never needs to occupy large space. In this manner, the cabinet 1 can achieve both convenience when in use and storability when not in use.
Moreover, the cabinet 1 of this embodiment includes the tray 20 slidable between the storage position and the drawing position, and the space S formed between the tray 20 and the top board 2. This enables easy taking in and out and operation of the articles such as the tablet type computer P. Namely, when arranging the tray 20 at the storage position while the tablet type computer P, etc. are laid thereon, on one hand, the tablet type computer P, etc. can be stored in the space S between the top board 2 and the tray 20 inside the cabinet. On the other hand, when drawing the tray 20 forward and arranging it at the drawing position, the tablet type computer P, etc. that were stored in the cabinet 1 can be taken out of the cabinet 1 while being laid on the tray 20, and thus held as it is for operation. In this manner, the articles such as the tablet type computer P can be stored and taken out for use only by moving the tray 20 between the storage position and the drawing position.
Thus, only the drawing in and out of the tray 20 between the storage position and the drawing position enables operation of the articles such as the tablet type computer P while being laid on the cabinet 1 when in use and storage of the articles in an isolated place when not in use so that no liquid spray easily splashes thereover from the hygienic point of view, thereby achieving the cabinet 1 suitable for use in a consultation room of a hospital and a dental clinic.
Further, the cabinet 1 includes the plurality of the casters 41 attached to the bottom surface of the baseplate 40. Thus, the casters 41 attached to the bottom surface of the baseplate 40 enables easy displacement of the cabinet without lifting. Therefore, the cabinet 1 can be used at a desirable place and stored easily at a desirable place.
Furthermore, the cabinet 1 of this embodiment includes the clinical chart holder 50 on the surface of the first side board 3A that can hold the documents or the clinical chart F of the files filing the documents. The clinical chart holder 50 is structured by the plurality of bent wire rods 51 fixed on the surface of the first side board 3A. This clinical chart holder 50 can hold the clinical chart F without storing in the drawers 11-16. This can improve the handling of the documents such as the clinical chart F needed to be held temporarily without storing, resulting in further improvement of the convenience of the cabinet 1.
Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described below. In the description of the second embodiment and the corresponding figures, like reference characters refer to components corresponding or equivalent to those of the first embodiment, and a detailed description thereof is dispensed with. The features other than those described as below are the same as in the first embodiment. This applies to the other embodiments.
In addition, the cabinet 1-2 of this embodiment includes a fence 60 attached near an outer periphery of a top surface 2c of a top board 2. The fence 60 is a member made of three metal wire rods 61 bent in a nearly U-shape and attached respectively near left and right sides 2a, 2b and a rear end side of the top surface 2c of the top board 20. This fence 60 can prevent the articles laid on the top surface 2c of the top board 2 from falling down.
Moreover, the cabinet 1-2 of this embodiment includes a magnet holder (or sheet) 70 attached to a surface of a first side board 3A while the cabinet 1 of the first embodiment includes the clinical chart holder 50 on the surface of the first side board 3A. This magnet holder 70 is made of a metal sheet-like member attractable by a magnet.
The cabinet 1-2 of this embodiment also includes a tray 20 slidable between a storage position and a drawing position, and space S formed between the tray 20 and the top board 2. This enables easy taking in and out and operation of articles such as a tablet type computer P.
Further, as shown in
Next, a third embodiment of the present invention will be described below.
In this manner, the cabinet 1-3 of this embodiment includes the left extension board (first extension board) 5 and the right extension board (second extension board) 6 turnably attached respectively to the left and right sides 2a, 2b of the top board 2. The left extension board 5 and the right extension board 6 are turnable between the closed position where the left and right extension boards 5, 6 are arranged respectively along the outer surface of the first side board 3A and the outer surface of the second side board 3B and the open position where the left and right extension boards 5, 6 are opened sideways respectively from the left and right sides of the top board. The top surface 2c of the top board 2 and the top surfaces 5c, 6c respectively of the left extension board 5 and the right extension board 6 are arranged on the same plane. Thus, when in use of the cabinet 1-3, on one hand, the left and right extension boards 5, 6 are arranged at the open position, whereby the top surface 2c of the top board 2 can be effectively used in such a state as to be expanded in width. When not in use of the cabinet 1-3, on the other hand, the left and right extension boards 5, 6 are arranged at the closed position where an outer width dimension of the top board 2 can be minimized, whereby the cabinet 1-3 never needs to occupy large space. In this manner, the cabinet 1-3 can achieve both convenience when in use and storability when not in use.
