Claims
- 1. An eye-gaze detecting apparatus, including an eye-gaze detector having a plurality of detection area groups, each constituted by a plurality of eye-gaze detection areas, said eye-gaze detector detecting a detection area group where a sight line of a photographer is located and outputting a detection signal.
- 2. A camera comprising:
- an eye-gaze detector having a plurality of eye-gaze detection areas obtained by dividing a finder field corresponding to a photo-image plane, said eye-gaze detection areas forming a plurality of detection area groups, each constituted by a plurality of eye-gaze detection areas, said eye-gaze detector detecting a detection area group where a sight line of a photographer is located and outputting a corresponding detection signal;
- a measurement signal outputting circuit having a plurality of measuring areas corresponding to said detection area groups, for outputting measurement signals corresponding to the measuring areas; and
- an operation circuit for operating in association with taking of a photograph, based on the measurement signals.
- 3. A camera according to claim 2, wherein said eye-gaze detection areas occupy substantially the entire finder field.
- 4. A camera according to claim 3, wherein said detection area groups are disposed in a substantially continuous arrangement.
- 5. An eye-gaze detecting apparatus comprising:
- a grouping circuit for grouping pluralities of eye-gaze detection areas into corresponding detection area groups; and
- a detection circuit for detecting a detection area group where a sight line of a photographer is located, and for outputting a detection signal in accordance with the detection result.
- 6. An eye-gaze detecting apparatus according to claim 5, wherein said detection area groups are disposed in a substantially continuous arrangement.
- 7. A camera comprising:
- an eye-gaze detector having a plurality of eye-gaze detection areas obtained by dividing a finder field corresponding to a photo-image plane, said eye-gaze detection areas forming a plurality of detection area groups, each constituted by a plurality of eye-gaze detection areas, said eye-gaze detector detecting in which of said detection area groups a user is looking and outputting a detection signal in response to the detection;
- a measurement signal outputting circuit having a plurality of measuring areas corresponding to said detection area groups, for outputting measurement signals corresponding to the measuring areas; and
- an operation circuit for controlling a photographing operation based on the measurement signals.
- 8. A camera according to claim 7, wherein said eye-gaze detection areas occupy substantially the entire finder field.
- 9. A camera according to claim 8, wherein said detection area groups are disposed in a substantially continuous arrangement.
