Claims
- 1. A camera comprising:
- a photographing optical system;
- an auxiliary optical element including an optical filter;
- means for holding said auxiliary optical element so that said auxiliary optical element may be switched between an insertion position in which said auxiliary optical element is inserted within an optical path of said photographing optical system and a removal position in which said auxiliary optical element is removed from said optical path;
- automatic focusing means for adjusting position of said photographing optical system to focus on an object to be photographed; and
- control means for correcting an adjustment of said photographing optical system effected by said automatic focusing means with respect to change in an optical path length caused by insertion of said auxiliary optical element into the optical path of said photographing optical system, when said auxiliary optical element is in said insertion position.
- 2. A camera according to claim 1, wherein said control means includes means for detecting position of said auxiliary optical element.
- 3. A camera comprising:
- a photographing optical system;
- an auxiliary optical element;
- means for holding said auxiliary optical element so that said auxiliary optical element may be switched between an insertion position in which said auxiliary optical element is inserted within an optical path of said photographing optical system and a removal position in which said auxiliary optical element is removed from said optical path;
- automatic focusing means for adjusting position of said photographing optical system to focus on an object to be photographed; and
- control means for correcting an adjustment of said photographing optical system effected by said automatic focusing means with respect to change in an optical path length caused by insertion of said auxiliary optical element into the optical path of said photographing optical system, when said auxiliary optical element is in said insertion position;
- wherein said automatic focusing means includes range finder means for producing an output corresponding to a distance to said object and means for determining an amount of the movement of said photographing optical system on the basis of said output, and wherein said control means corrects said determined amount.
- 4. A camera comprising:
- a photographing optical system;
- an auxiliary optical element;
- means for holding said auxiliary optical element so that said auxiliary optical element may be switched between an insertion position in which said auxiliary optical element is inserted within an optical path of said photographing optical system and a removal position in which said auxiliary optical element is removed from said optical path;
- automatic focusing means for adjusting position of said photographing optical system to focus on an object to be photographed; and
- control means for correcting an adjustment of said photographing optical system effected by said automatic focusing means with respect to change in an optical path length caused by insertion of said auxiliary optical element into the optical path of said photographing optical system, when said auxiliary optical element is in said insertion position;
- wherein said automatic focusing means includes range finder means for producing a range output corresponding to a distance to said object, means for detecting positioning of said photographing optical system and producing a corresponding detection output, and means for moving said photographing optical system on the basis of said range output and said detection output, and wherein said control means changes said range output to correct said adjustment of said photographing optical system.
- 5. A camera comprising:
- a photographing optical system;
- an optical filter capable of insertion into and retraction from an optical path of said photographing optical system;
- means for detecting insertion of said optical filter into said optical path;
- means for adjusting position of said photographing optical system to focus on an object to be photographed; and
- means for correcting adjustment of said photographing optical system effected by said adjusting means according to a change in optical path length caused by said insertion of said optical filter.
- 6. A camera according to claim 5, wherein said adjusting means includes means for moving said photographing optical system from an initial position, means for interrupting movement of said photographing optical system, and operation means for generating an output signal to operate said interrupting means, and said correcting means controls timing of generation of said output signal in response too said detecting means.
- 7. A camera comprising:
- a photographing optical system;
- an auxiliary optical element capable of insertion into and retraction from an optical path of said photographing optical system;
- means for detecting insertion of said auxiliary optical element into said optical path;
- range finder means for producing an output corresponding to distance to an object;
- means for determining an amount of movement of said photographing optical system on the basis of said output; and
- means for correcting the determined amount according to a change in optical path length caused by said insertion of said auxiliary optical element.
- 8. A camera comprising:
- a photographing optical system;
- an auxiliary optical element capable of insertion into and retraction from an optical path of said photographing optical system;
- means for detecting insertion of said auxiliary optical element into said optical path;
- range finder means for producing a range output corresponding to a distance to an object;
- means for detecting positioning of said photographing optical system and producing a corresponding detection output;
- means for moving said photographing optical system on the basis of said range output and said detection output; and
- means for correcting said range output to correct an adjustment of said photographing optical system according to a change in optical path length caused by said insertion of said auxiliary optical element.
