Claims
- 1. A camera including spotwise photometric means for providing a brightness value and means for calculating an exposure value reponsive to brighness values, comprising:
- means for displaying each of the brightness values which are obtained by spotwise photometry of an object being photographed at a plurality of locations and for displaying a result of an arithmetic operation performed on the respective brightness values by said calculating means;
- exposure correction means for selectively providing a correction of an exposure factor at the option of the operator, which correction is set in accordance with the result of a calculation effected by said calculating means; and
- said displaying means displaying the brightness values without incorporating any correction and displaying the result of the operation performed by said calculating means showing the correction incorporated.
- 2. The camera of claim 1 in which said displaying means includes a first plurality of display elements aranged in a row, each being capable of displaying a spotwise brightness value and a second plurality of display elements arranged in a second row adjacent and substantially parallel to said first mentioned row for displaying the results of an arithmetic operation in a bar form.
- 3. A camera including spotwise photometric means, comprising:
- means for effecting a spotwise photometry of an object being photographed at a plurality of locations to derive spotwise photometric values and means for performing an arithmetic operation upon the photometric values to determine an exposure level in accordance with the result of the arithmetic operation;
- a view finder;
- a first and a second photographing information display located within said view finder and each comprising a plurality of display elements arranged in linear succession;
- means for activating selected display elements of the first display corresponding to the respective spotwise photometric values, thus separately displaying the respective spotwise photometric values; and
- means for activating those display elements of the second display which begin at one end of the display and extend to a point corresponding to the result of the arithmetic operation, thus allowing the result of the arithmetic operation to be displayed in a bar-like form.
- 4. A camera including spotwise photometric means, comprising:
- means for effecting a spotwise photometry of an object being photographed at a plurality of locations and for storing resulting spotwise photometric values;
- photographing information display means located within a finder and comprising a plurality of display elements arranged in linear succession; and
- means for activating a selected display element in a first manner corresponding to a particular one of the spotwise photometric values which is currently being determined and for maintaining activated in a second manner those display elements of the display means corresponding to those spotwise photometric values which have already been determined, thereby enabling both of the current photometric value and other photometric values which have already been determined to be displayed and differentiated.
- 5. A camera according to claim 4 comprising means for causing the display element corresponding to the current photometric value to be displayed in a flashing form.
- 6. A camera according to claim 5, further comprising means for causing the current photometric value to be displayed in flashing form in preference to the continual display of those display regions whenever a coincidence occurs therebetween.
- 7. A camera according to claim 5 comprising further means for causing the display elements corresponding to the previously entered display values to be displayed in a constantly illuminated form so as to distinguish from that display element which is being displayed in a flashing form.
- 8. A camera including spotwise photometric means, comprising:
- means for effecting photometry of an object being photographed to derive a plurality of brightness values in a time sequence and means for performing an arithmetic operation thereon, the result of which is used to effect an exposure control;
- a photographing information display means for diplaying the brightness values and/or the result of arithmetic operation whenever such values are located within a range that can be displayed; and
- means for storing those brightness values and/or result of arithmetic operation which extend beyond the extremity of the range that can be displayed by the display means;
- the display means including an element having a pattern to indicate an overexposure or an underexposure to indicate the brightness values and/or result of arithmetic operation which extend beyond the range of the display, the storing means including a storage area for storing those brightness values and/or result of arithmetic operation which extend beyond the range of the display, thus allowing a proper result of arithmetic operation to be reproduced in response to the input of a subsequent brightness value or values in the presence of a display of an overexposure or an underexposure.
- 9. A camera having a viewfinder and including average photometric means which effects a photometry of a large portion of an object to be photographed and spotwise photometric means which effects a photometry of a small portion of the object, comprising:
- an operating member for selectively allowing spotwise photometric values to be inputted from the spotwise photometric means;
- first displaying means for displaying each of brightness values which are obtained by spotwise photometry of the object at a plurality of locations within the viewfinder of the camera;
- calculating means for determining an average exposure value based on said spotwise brightness values;
- second displaying means responsive to said calculating means for displaying a result of an arithmetic operation performed on the respective brightness values, said result being displayed within the viewfinder of the camera;
- means for operating the second displaying means to display an average photometric value obtained from the average photometric means whenever no spotwise photometric value has been inputted from the spotwise photometric means.
- 10. A camera including spotwise photometric means for providing a brightness value and means for calculating an exposure value responsive to brightness values, comprising:
- means for displaying each of the brightness values which are obtained by spotwise photometry of an object being photographed at a plurality of locations and for displaying a result of an arithmetic operation performed on the respective brightness values by said calculating means;
- exposure correction means for providing a correction of an exposure factor;
- said displaying means displaying the brightness values without incorporating any correction and displaying the result of the operation performed by said calculating means showing the correction incorporated; and
- average photometric means for providing an average photometric value;
- said displaying means including means responsive to said average photometric means for displaying an average photometric value.
