Claims
- 1. A cantilever for a pickup cartridge comprising an elongated cylindrical base and a layer of boron or boride deposited around said base by low pressure chemical vapor deposition, said layer exhibiting a high specific modulus of elasticity ratio higher than 5,000 Kg/mm.sup.2.
- 2. A cantilever for a pickup cartridge as claimed in claim 1, wherein said elongated cylindrical base is made of one material selected from the group consisting of aluminum, titanium, tantalum, tungsten, molybdenum, copper carbon, quartz and glass.
- 3. A cantilever for a pickup cartridge as claimed in claim 2, wherein said base is chemically or electrolytically removed after said deposition.
- 4. A cantilever for a pickup cartridge as claimed in claim 1, wherein said base is chemically or electrolytically removed after said deposition.
- 5. A cantilever for a pickup cartridge comprising an elongated cylindrical base made of one material selected from the group consisting of aluminum, titanium, tantalum and molybdenum and a layer of boron or boride deposited around said base by plasma chemical vapor deposition, said layer exhibiting a high specific modulus of elasticity ratio higher than 5,000 Kg/mm.sup.2.
- 6. A cantilever for a pickup cartridge comprising a pipe made of boron or boride formed by low pressure chemical vapor deposition and having a high specific modulus of elasticity ratio.
- 7. A cantilever for a pickup cartridge comprising a pipe made of boron or boride formed by plasma chemical vapor deposition and having a high specific modulus of elasticity ratio.
- 8. A cantilever for a pickup cartridge comprising a pipe made of boron formed by providing an elongated cylindrical base made of one material selected from the group consisting of aluminum, titanium, tantalum and molybdenum, forming a layer of boron or boride around said base by plasma chemical vapor deposition, said layer exhibiting a high specific modulus of elasticity ratio higher than 5,000 Kg/mm.sup.2, and chemically or electrolytically removing said base after said deposition.
