The present invention relates generally to a cap with a tiltable visor. More particularly, the present invention relates to a cap with a tiltable visor, wherein the visor provided on the cap to block ultraviolet rays is tiltable in multiple stages, and an auxiliary visor is provided to prevent excessive downward tilting of the visor so that a wearer can easily and efficiently tilt the visor of the cap, and wherein a core part that supports the tiltable visor is provided so as to rest against a side of a wearer's head, and thus the wearer may feel comfort even when wearing the cap for a long time.
In general, sunlight contains ultraviolet rays, which are directly irradiated to the skin during outdoor activities, thereby causing skin problems such as pigmentation, staining, burning, etc. Thus, sunglass or a sun cap is widely used for outdoor activities so as to block ultraviolet rays of sunlight.
Moreover, the ultraviolet rays of sunlight cause severe irritation of the eyes during outdoor activities, so it is often the case that it is difficult to see an object. In particular, a long-term exposure to the sunlight in summer causes considerable damage to the human body such as skin aging, skin cancer, etc.
In recent years, as the amount of ultraviolet rays irradiated to the ground is increased due to depletion of the ozone layer of the earth, the sun cap or a canopy hat has been used to reduce the damage caused by ultraviolet rays.
Here, the sun cap is worn on a wearer's head to provide protection for the wearer's face against strong sunlight and ultraviolet rays. The sun cap is composed of a band with a resiliently flexible frame and a visor coupled with the band, and is used for purposes of blocking sunlight, wind, rain, etc. by adjusting a tilting angle of the visor.
Such a sun cap is easy to wear and can be used for a variety of purposes because it can block sunlight, ultraviolet rays, wind, rain, etc., and thus it is widely used.
However, there is a problem in that the sun cap causes a headache as the band having the frame therein applies pressure to the wearer's head when the sun cap is worn. Further, there has been proposed a double visor to solve a problem that the visor becomes fogged up due to exhalation steam from the wearer's mouth or nose when he/she tilts the visor downwards to block wind and dust.
In this regard, Korean Patent No. 10-1160080 (2012.06.20) disclosed an ear-resting type sun cap as a prior art.
The prior art includes a pair of arm parts 110 that rest on a wearer's ears; a goggle part 120 tiltably hinge-coupled to the front ends of the arm parts 110; and a mask part 130 tiltably hinge-coupled to the front ends of both the arm parts 110 and the goggle part 120, wherein each arm part 110 is formed as a single body having a support arm 111 bent at a rear end thereof in a semicircular shape, and a disc portion 113 provided at a front end thereof.
However, the above-described prior art is problematic in that the arm parts 110 that are provided so as to prevent a headache caused by the frame provided inside a band, cause pain on the ears due to friction therewith during long-term use.
In addition, since the goggle part 120 and the mask part 130 are hingedly coupled to each other, there is a further problem in that production cost is increased, and when the goggle part 120 and mask part 130 are tilted, malfunction occurs frequently.
The foregoing is intended merely to aid in the understanding of the background of the present invention, and is not intended to mean that the present invention falls within the purview of the related art that is already known to those skilled in the art.

Accordingly, the present invention has been made keeping in mind the above problems occurring in the related art, and the present invention is intended to propose a cap with a tiltable visor, wherein core parts instead of a conventional frame are provided inside a band at opposite sides of the band surrounding a wearer's head so that the contact area between the core parts and the head is reduced, thereby preventing a headache caused by a conventional frame applying pressure to the head during long-term use, and a visor provided on the cap is tiltable in multiple stages in up and down directions, and thus a tilting angle of the visor can be easily adjusted.
In order to achieve the above object, according to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a cap with a tiltable visor, wherein the visor is provided on the cap to block ultraviolet rays incident on a wearer's face, the cap including: a head band part provided with a band surrounding a circumference of a wearer's head, and an auxiliary visor coupled to and extending forward from a lower edge of the band; a core part provided with a curved plate-shaped support core member inserted inside the band so as to rest against a side portion of the wearer's head, a coupling ball protruding outwards from an outer surface of the support core member, and a locking protrusion protruding from the support core member at a position spaced apart therefrom with a predetermined distance; a transparent visor part provided with a transparent visor having a color so as to block ultraviolet rays, a fitting hole formed through on each side of the transparent visor and fitted over the coupling ball, and a plurality of multi-stage angle adjustment holes formed to be interlocked with the locking protrusion when the transparent visor is tilted around the coupling ball; and a locking disc covering an outside of the fitting hole fitted over the coupling ball, the locking disc being holed at a center thereof so as to be engaged with the coupling ball.
The support core member is provided with a visor seat that protrudes from the outer surface of the support core member and surrounds a lower surface of the coupling ball such that the coupling ball protrudes outside the band to a predetermined height when the support core member is inserted in the inside of the band.
The coupling ball is provided with a disc-fitting groove that is radially and inwardly depressed on an outer circumferential surface of the coupling ball such that the locking disc is fitted over and engaged with the disc-fitting groove of the coupling ball.
The transparent visor is provided with a stop edge that protrudes downwards from an inside edge thereof such that the transparent visor is prevented from being tilted excessively downwards over the auxiliary visor when the visor is tilted.
The effect of the cap with the tiltable visor according to the present invention is as follows.
Firstly, the ultraviolet blocking transparent visor that is coupled with the coupling ball set inside the band surrounding the head is provided with the locking protrusion and the multi-stage angle adjustment holes so that the transparent visor can be tilted in multiple stages. Thus, the transparent visor can be tilted at a desired angle when the cap is worn on the wearer's head, so it is possible to efficiently block ultraviolet rays.
Secondly, the coupling ball is provided with the visor seat and the disc-fitting groove so that the transparent visor can be efficiently tilted. Thus, it is possible to prevent interference between the band and the transparent visor when the transparent visor is tilted, and improve productivity due to ease of assembling the locking disc.
Thirdly, the cap is provided with the auxiliary visor that extends forward from the lower edge of the band and the stop edge that protrudes downwards from the inside edge of the transparent visor, such that excessive tilting of the transparent visor can be prevented. Thus, it is possible to improve wearing comfort of the cap.
Fourthly, the cap is provided with the core part that tiltably fixes the transparent visor and the locking disc that is engaged with the coupling ball outside the core part, such that the core part and the locking disc are easily coupled with each other. Thus, it is possible to increase productivity and reduce labor costs.

Here, the head band part 10 may be provided with a canopy (not shown) coupled with an upper edge of the band 11 to cover an upper portion of the head. Preferably, an outer surface of the locking disc 40 is tapered into an arc shape, and an outer end of the coupling ball 22 is formed into a semispherical shape.
In addition, the core part 20 is made of an elastic material, and has a short length so that clamping force applied to the head is prevented from being generated, so it is comfortable to be worn on the head. The coupling ball 22 is provided at a position displaced to one side from a center of an outer surface of the support core member 21, such that the transparent visor 31 can be tilted without interruption.
Moreover, the transparent visor 31 may be provided in various colors such as a chromatic color, an achromatic color, etc.
Meanwhile, the support core member 21 is provided with a visor seat 21a that surrounds a lower surface of the coupling ball 22 such that the coupling ball 22 protrudes outside the band 11 to a predetermined height when the support core member 21 is inserted in the inside of the band 11.
In other words, the visor seat 21a functions to minimize friction generated at contact portions between the band 11 and a periphery of the fitting hole 32 of the transparent visor part 30 that is seated on the visor seat 21a of the core part 20. Thus, the transparent visor part 30 can be efficiently tilted without interfering with the band 11.
Further, the coupling ball 22 is provided with a disc-fitting groove 22a that is radially and inwardly depressed on an outer circumferential surface of the coupling ball 22, such that the locking disc 40 is fitted over and engaged with the disc-fitting groove 22a of the coupling ball 22, and thus the locking disc 40 is prevented from being separated from the cap to the outside.
On the other hand, the transparent visor 31 is provided with a stop edge 31a that protrudes downwards from an inside edge thereof so as to be prevented from excessive downward tilting over the auxiliary visor 12. Here, the stop edge 31a of the transparent visor 31 is caught by an inside edge of the auxiliary visor 12 when the transparent visor 31 is tilted in a downward direction.
The operation of the cap with the tiltable visor according to the present invention constructed as above will be described below.

Here, the core part 20 is provided with the coupling ball and the locking protrusion 23 that protrudes from the support core member 21 set in the inside of the band 11, and the transparent visor 31 is engaged with the coupling ball 22 through the fitting hole 32 thereof.
Meanwhile, the support core member 21 through which the transparent visor 31 is fixed is provided in a pair with a length relatively shorter than a core part provided in a typical cap, thereby preventing a headache caused by pressure of a conventional frame inserted in a band.
Further, the multi-stage angle adjustment holes 33 of the transparent visor part 30 are formed through so as to be interlocked with the locking protrusion 23, such that when the transparent visor 31 is tilted in an up and down direction, the locking protrusion 23 is snapped into one of the multi-stage angle adjustment holes 33. Thus, the transparent visor part 30 can be tilted in multiple stages, and can be maintained at a desired angle when a tilting motion is stopped.
Furthermore, the locking disc 40 is fitted over the disc-fitting groove 22a that is radially and inwardly depressed on the outer circumferential surface of the coupling ball 22, thereby fixing the transparent visor part 30. In other words, the disc-fitting groove 22a receives the locking disc 40 therein and prevents the locking disc 40 from being released to the outside.
In addition, the visor seat 21a that protrudes from the support core member 21 and surrounds the lower surface of the coupling ball 22 minimizes interference between the band 11 and the transparent visor 31. In other words, the visor seat 21a protrudes from the outer surface of the support core member 21, so that interference between the band 11 and the transparent visor 31 can be minimized when the transparent visor 31 is tilted. Here, the core part 20 having the visor seat 21a may be locked to the band 11 by being sewn together with the band 11 after inserting the support core member 21 of the core part 20 into the band 11 while exposing the visor seat 21a outside the band 11.
Moreover, the stop edge 31a that protrudes downwards from the inside edge of the transparent visor 31 is caught by the inside edge of the auxiliary visor 12 extending forward from the lower edge of the band 11. Here, the auxiliary visor 12 is made of the same material as that of a typical visor, whereas an extension length thereof is relatively smaller than that of the typical visor. Thus, the transparent visor 31 can be prevented from excessive downward tilting in a state where interference with the transparent visor 31 is prevented from occurring.
Although a preferred embodiment of the present invention has been described for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.
