Claims
- 1. A process for augmenting or enhancing the aroma of a solid or liquid anionic, cationic, nonionic or zwitterionic detergent comprising the step of adding to a solid or liquid anionic, cationic, nonionic or zwitterionic detergent base an aroma augmenting or enhancing quantity of at least one norbornyl compound defined according to the structure: ##STR35## wherein the dashed line represents a carbon-carbon single bond or a carbon-carbon double bond and one of R.sub.1 or R.sub.2 is methyl and the other of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is hydrogen.
- 2. The process of claim 1 wherein the norbornyl derivative is a mixture of compounds having the structures: ##STR36##
- 3. The process of claim 1 wherein the norbornyl derivative is a mixture of compounds having the structures: ##STR37##
- 4. The process of claim 1 wherein the detergent is a liquid detergent containing lysine salts of n-dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid.
